  • after a shocking attack by Gwent Po at Wentwood last year, the CHT have won thei appeal in the high court and had all their gear handed back

    Report of WENTWOOD 2007-2008

good news for all other crews

check the article and the CHT site all over

    Celtic Heritage Trust

good to know that some are keeping it real

if crews actually formed proper eco-communities around their events like CHT do, rather than just using a forest/field as a cheap/free venue it might make it a bit harder for non-participants and cops to justify some of the heavier police action of recent times..

Anyone in this area up for starting an “Eastern Heritage Trust?”

I am being serious here… there is a lot of good things happening in this area but they aren’t co-ordinated or even talked about as much amongst younger people what are more into parties/hedonism…

if its the same date I’m thinking of, there was a huge rave organised by English crews elsewhere in the forest what got similarly closed down and where there was idiots from various areas/countries throwing stuff at the cops.

I expect the cops wrongly assumed this lot were linked with the larger event.

However, I was at the Wentwood event in April, and didn’t find the CHT lot despite exploring a fair bit of the area – this IMO would indicate they were some distance away…

“A few miles down the road, and some hours trudging later, they actually came across their truck – crashed with one of the tyres hanging off. It was later moved to a Police holding bay where it was impounded for two months as it was ‘unfi t for the road’!”

I would have loved to have seent he looks on the cops faces when they crashed that truck. Actually they probably wouldnt have given a shit.. :you_crazy:

Respect due to these CHT people, i’m likin the cut of their jib! :weee:

I totally agree, but I do wonder how much of their case was due to them distancing themselves from the actions and ethics (or lack thereof) of the other illegal rave crews?

Not that I would even criticise them for doing so…

I think the stuff returned was for a “youth library and cinema” and/or they managed to represent themselves as decent people – if people in these ends behaved like CHT crew did (and there was a point it could have gone that way) I reckon we’d still be having parties …
