Talking like this don’t get you friends faster than others. Making an introduction post like this don’t get you friends faster.
If you want the freedom to party back, it’s a really bad attitude you have, in my eyes, others might disagree and that’s fair enough.
No parties in Norfolk, maybe there is or maybe there isn’t, but the way the Norfolk ravers have been hunted (for 1 reason or another) it’s something you’re extra careful talking about, and I really don’t think you’ll get much info.
Think you’ll have more luck going to an legal event 😉

+1.
fuck tha police comin’ straight from tha underground!
i was speakin to a copper on saturday night, he was really sound as fuck until he got pissed, until his real views of “i love puttin’ the bastards away, the feelin it gives you to cuff a little shit…”
i was gutted, cos before he got drunk he’d been actually very liberal and sound in his opinions.
He could have meant, thieves, murderers, or child abusers..
Think I’ll agree with that, or did he specificity talk about ravers?
In that case I would probably have the same view as you.

there’s a bit of a difference from thieves and murderers/child abusers!
and i dont think you should “enjoy” cuffing anyone
and in general he was talking about younger petty criminals etc.
cops often use the term to “cuff” someone when they have just nicked someone without any real force being used, these days they only tend to use handcuffs more often as more youths are resisting arrest… in the 1990s they didn’t even bother using cuffs if it was clear you weren’t going to run away!
“putting someone away” means as little as 2-6 hours in the cells most of the time, and then bail and unless they have seriously hurt someone its very hard these days to end up in prison for any length of time
Younger “petty” criminals still create victims. Often they are robbing from someone close to them or their own community, or trying to exert control over other youths using force, In some cases the initial shock of arrest and loss of their liberty is actually the “only language they understand”.
Even then young offenders (and even some older ones!) get way more “second chances” than 20 years ago
Last time I got arrested, the cops let me off the charges simply because I had a full time job and what I had been doing (sorting out an electric supply in a squat which was classed as “theft”) was intended to help others who were homeless rather than for my own personal gain!
TBH i can’t help thinking about the famous experiment that went horribly wrong reading Boothy’s post.
I’m not sure it’s even relevant, keeps coming to mind.
Was it The Stanford Prison Experiment?
is that the experiment where some normal people went into a prison and some where chosen to be the guards and others the prisoners? And quite quickly the guards were letting the power go to their heads and started acting like arseholes..
That’s the one process.
If my memory serves me right, they did more than act like arseholes, innocent deaths were caused by the prison guards.
Prime example of what sometime happens when you get a big chunk of power in your hands.
Their’s a film based on it which is good, uncomfortable though ‘cos you know it’s not all fiction.
edit: i’m not 100% sure anyone did die now, hmm. General will know more than me.
the experiment was terminated after 6 days. Some people were beaten with fire extinguishers but there were no permanent injuries or deaths reported.
Another important aspect is that (unlike todays British civillian police service) 100% of the group in this experiment were white males with similar social/political grounds
Britain’s cops and Civil service officers are thankfully a more diverse community and that does make a slight difference (although there is a lot of tension because of this.)
Incidentally down south they use the (civillian) CCTV ops to keep an eye on the cops as much as the citizens! Also TVP in particular would deliberately use a double crew unit with either a male and female copper or two people from different ethnic groups.
heard some “interesting” things in the days when radio scanners used to work 😉
