  • I might be visiting the USA in May this year. Apparently you have to get a travel visa or something even for a short holiday now?

Also apparently visas get rejected if you have drugs offences on your police record. I happen to have a caution for a class C substance so was wondering if anyone had any idea if this would give me trouble getting into the states for a week.

think there was a thread on here about this already, i cant use the search thing while im at work tho.. Im pretty sure a caution doesnt count, but id contact the US embassy just to make sure.. just had a quick google as well..
Yahoo! Answers – Will my drug caution stop me from travelling to america?

contact US embassy to know for sure. as far as i know a caution isnt the same as a conviction tho.

Thanks peeps.. I guess I should get in contact with the US embassy then!

A caution isn’t the same as a conviction but does count as a criminal record and an admission of guilt/criminal behaviour.l

Last time I checked you have to pre-apply to the US embassy for a Visa even if you had a caution.
