Hey,
So, what does everyone think about our being part of the EU?
We can vote for the UKIP on June 4th. The party are for the UK leaving the EU, surprisingly.
Discuss.

if we’re part of the EU then were in the free trade zone which means no import/export tax to and from EU so its better for us in the recession (though i think we still get taxed unlike other countries coz were not using the euro)?
I think UKIP are the acceptable face of the BNP.
Backward nationalism is going to leave Britain stranded in a progressive, united world.
ignorant naive foolish etc I’m not a big fan.
a dude i used to hang out with down my road’s grandfather, is the inventor of that little mirrored glass thing people have in their doors to see out of when people knock, that has comenly replaces that spy hole thing that was the norm b4 hand … his son was (my old m8’s dad)… and probably still is a highish up member of the UK independance party …
i can’t help but think there is some coralation between there line of family business and there political views :laugh_at:
Last night on my way back from work bumped into a lovely old lady (she used to be my dinner lady, years ago now) out in force with her son whos my age and youngest daughter. I live up the end of a cul-de-sac & seeing that she was putting things through my neighbours doors i offered to take what it was off her to save her walking up to mine.
She handed me a a load of UKIP bunf relating to the local elections we have comming up…Unfortunately without being able to controll myself I immediately ripped it up & said “Fuck that”
Straight away I felt like a bit of a shit considering she had been so nice to me at school…..funny how strong opinions can spark a reaction like that, I stand by thinking UKIP are a bunch of tossers but maybe I shouldn’t have expressed it quite so blatently!!
nationalism always has fairly unpleasant undertones at the very least
anyone who thinks that England would have any sort of political or economic power unilaterally really doesn’t understand the world we live in.
The EU has many faults, one of them being a lack of co-operation which leads to the potential strength of a united europe being diluted…
BUT, with USA, China, Russia, India already very strong and Latin America forming stronger continental ties, a unilateral England would be equivalent to some of the poorer, less powerful African nations on the global stage
if that’s what you want for your country go ahead and vote UKIP

innit, the EU is neccesarry but imo could be improved, actually i’d like the EU to be completely upheaved and a massive re-think into how its run needs to happen, might happen through progression hopefully, too much of a buerocracy at the moment tbh
also, an independent scotland like the SNP want… economic suicide :you_crazy
