:hopeless:
last year it chucked it down on the thursday night – but then dried out by friday night and was pretty dry for the rest of the weekend. With any luck it might be like that again with just rain today.
Don’t reckon it will be like the year before anyway!
I’ve been about 5 times and has always rained!
Hope it isnt too bad – my friend has gone and it is the first time she has ever camped :hopeless: having said that, i’d be pretty gutted if it was completely gorgeous weather the one year i dont go – but then i’m a jealous, bitter type of person! :laugh_at:

glastonbury does have a good lineup this year ( then again i spose its allways got a half decent lineup!) the techno looks pretty good this year! billy nasty josh wink etc, and i wouldnt mind seeing jarvis cocker, and rolf harris is allways worth a tickle!!
ive seen glastonbury change soo much and i just dont like what its become, yeah trash city is mega etc, but it really is such a different place since the travellers field has gone, i admit crime is lower, but its just not spreading the peace & love anymore!!

people get caught out because they aren’t “pessimistic” enough to keep looking at the forecast whenever they have access to the net.
Don’t use BBC or local media forecasts as they often have out of date info. The Met office update the regional observations and forecast every hour- they have some really smart people and computer kit, all paid for by our taxes so get your moneys worth!
if you get the met office weather gadget for your browser and spend a few minutes reading the site to work out how the weather is monitored (they explain it in simple terms so you don’t need to be a science brainbox) you can get very accurate forecasts, and observations are of course what is actually happening in each region…
I have kept a watch on the weather since 2001 when I became a regular cyclist – its possible to dodge a rain shower if you look at the “latest radar” bit and have reasonable geography/navigation skills and can work out the direction
and yes there is indeed a big cloud pattern right over SW England but with the rest of the UK staying mostly dry :laugh_at:
Yes mate had a wicked time, sat at the seone after party cooking in the sun……….not often that a banging techno dancefloor is cooler than outside!!!:weee:
