sounds similar to what happened in Suffolk in 2007 although they did give a S63 initially which was ignored.
there is no law that the cops have to have prior communication with the rigs, rave organisers are already presumed to be committing an offence by being on the land. They might have done this out of goodwill but there isn’t much of that around anymore. Surely the confiscation of the amps should act as a warning that those involved might be doing something those in authority disagree with?
The moment anything gets thrown at a copper in this country its called a “code 00” incident and they are then authorised to go into what is called “public safety/public order” protocol which is when they put on their riot gear and are authorised to use a larger amount of force to stop the event.
removing individual ID’s from public sector workers (or even issuing them fake ones!) when they are carrying out unpopular activities has been an accepted tactic since before I was born and can in extreme circumstances apply throughout the public sector, not just the Police..
the harsh facts are that due to ANPR logging of cars attending raves, the cops now realise that people are travelling the length of the country to any area what isn’t on zero tolerance so it won’t be long before zero tolerance is nationwide throughout England and Wales..
