So who was there? I had a fucking blinder, highglights got to include Orbital, Congo Natty (dubstep), as well as the totally unique atmosphere of the Chill. Truly the closest thing to Woodstock, sure its infected with overpriced food stands and cash machines onsite, but for a BIG weekend you cant go wrong…
personally i thought big chill was a bit lame when i went last year.. and quite commercial, still had a good time as was with loads of mates. was better than the year before that tho when i got kicked out before the actual festival started for selling gas in the staff camping field on wednesday night! :you_crazy:

Although Orbital started off OK they sampled some cheezy commercial track about half hour in which had me heading off at speed. Also chime is becoming well dated, I’d thought they could have revamped it a bit with modern day effects and mastering tools now available.
Gong and Steve Hilliage were the highlight for me at Castle stage Sunday Night but they set off the main fireworks during the set which was poor timing as my mates 12 year old lad was with us so bit of a clash of interests
Also Mulatu (ethiopian afro jazz) was superb as expected and Max Romeo was proper.
Dance areas were a bit plop as usual
Did anyone see Chris Cunningham’s set? Crazed…
Probably unfair of me to refer to the dance areas being plop as i was not there all the time but everytime i did pass by it didn’t inspire
there are far better sets posted in the download section here
