So, We’re back after a years break.
This time we return to Norwich in a new venue for more “Outside the box” shindiggery..
Making full use of the Old Regal cinema, we’re throwing a party for the re-launch of the mighty Routemaster Records.
Routemaster was started by the owner and Sound engineer of the Immersion Soundsystem which became a big and influential part in the development of the London underground techno scene, as did his unique talent at producing techno, djing and playing his machines live.
The Immersion Sound System was also well known for parties in Holland, France, Italy and Poland.
Lawrie Immersion started Routemaster around the same time as the Smitten label was born and was ran from an actual Routemaster double decker bus/studio!
The first release by Lochi (Lawrie Immersion & Chris Liberator), featured the underground anthem “London Acid City”.
The label went on to churn out some of the most top quality techno ever…
It’s no surprise Routemaster has such a high calibre catalogue when you look at the producers releasing on it.
D.A.V.E The Drummer & Lawrie Immersion wrote a stack of tunes under the Kektex alias. One of the most memorable being “Inner City Junkies.”
Also releasing on the label; Guy Mcaffer, Rowland the Bastard, Ant, and of course Chris Liberator.
Check the forthcoming Lochi releases on Routemaster.
Also, If that wasn’t enough, we’ve managed to snare Another one of our personal favourite Producer/Dj’s.
Arguably One of the most prolific on the underground scene. And for many, When it comes to intense screaming 303 abuse, this was the man through the mid to late 90s.
Among his 7 labels, he continuously spat out a diverse array of underground music.
Both solo and while working with artists such as Mishka, The Stay Up Forever Collective, Solar Quest and hard house/NRG pioneer Jon Doe and Andy Allder.
Virtually all of his eclectic material is timeless and his releases on Choci’s Chewn’s have become highly sought after, demanding high prices as the blitz of pure-class acid is still unmatched.
