don’t be so touchy. if you carry on like that when you arrive in england you will make no friends, so brush that chip off your shoulder, get a sense of homour and maybe someone will help you out, although i used google and found answers to all your questions in about 2 minutes

hitchin is a boring, ugly, expensive little town, and it takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to central london by bus

Been to Hitchen quite a few times- didnt like it, didnt look like there is much to do – big drinking culture,

I know some people who lived there – one whos been stabbed and one who’s had his face stamped on (cheek broken and a metal plate put in) and ribs broken – and these are not out to fight nasty mouthy fellas they were about 17 – 19 and easy going fellas that got jumped by a gang. I know this happens everywhere but …… not nice for either of them or their families

I was in Hitchin the other day visiting some mates. It’s a fairly quaint English town (the centre is at least, I’ve not seen much of the rest of the town tbh), the type with a cobbled square that has farmers markets etc. About 30 mins from London by train.

Not sure what there is to do there, but the local club, Remix is supposed to be pretty good and regularly has big-name breaks and dnb DJs playing.

You could do much worse than Hitchin if you’re looking for a place to live near London. Like Luton, as Poly said – I lived there for a bit and its full of racists and rowdy asian kids constantly fighting each other.
