My lap top is a troll!
this thing got way hot earlier on an wierded out big time, so the gorgeous fella got a frozen cool bag thingy out of the freezer, wrapped it in a tea-towel, put it underneath the laptop and hey presto this thing turned into a rat up a drain-pipe!:crazy:
was like having the computer of ur dreams, so fast an slick, amazing!:weee:
cold comp = fast comp, jus like trolls

ahhh Pratchett I should have known!
my mate used to put his processer in the freezer cos it kept overheating and his pc would run like something with twice the power for about 5 mins once he put it back to gether lol

Very bad idea I’d say! Way to much moisture. Lucky he didn’t fry it, what a nutter lol.
I was reading the other day about phase change computer cooling. Basically using some complicated system of material state (Gas/liquid/solid) conversion device to gain cooling temperatures of around -100 degrees C. So that they could up the voltages huge amount without and thus over clocking them hugely without frying them in the heat they’d usually produce.

yeah same dude who put’s his processers in the freezer (and it’s fine as the freezer was empty and the processer was a bit buggered anyway) was telling me about this … they over clocked something to stupid % ..
