  • My mate’s son is pretty angry and wanting to join the army. Obv this is a bad idea! I’ve sugested to her two things so far:- Take him paint balling and explain to him b4 he goes every time he gets hit that he would be dead in a real life situation and find something for him to vent his anger like kung fu.

Does any one have any other ideas that might help out?

Any help is much needed .. thanks

    how old is he?

its not actually that dangerous to be a soldier, only 300 or so have died since the afghan confict has started for example, comparing it to paintball might be a bit of a fallacy

however you should point out the moral implications of signing up to the army given the UKs foreign policy at the moment. Despite the bullshit tabloids spin about soldiers only doing their job and the politicians being responsible, I hold every soldier who has not attempted to leave the army morally responsible for what we’re doing over there.
