I think its been replaced by scumoween – i.e the resources and people what would have done the circus are going to this event instead… this is a shame as the one I went to in 2005 I really enjoyed.

was there one last year? even HFDK don’t mention it which is strange? Last one I heard of was (I think in 2008… ) there is very little media/discussion on the 2007 and 2008 events and all google searches point back here!

It was in Kingscross, may have been run by a couple of other rigs (Abacus and someone else I think) – not sure.

did it have the stage performances, live music and art? that IMO is what distinguishes synthetic circus from other events.. I can understand if the organisers dont’ want the media shared on line as it can be used against them (I still haven’t released any video I took from the 2005 one for security reasons) but its odd not to see party reports posted anywhere…

Yes, it had a nurse disecting something under a projector, loads of artwork around the place and a stage with crazy farmers.

I think headfuk is used much more as a brand for music and rigs have different names. its a misconception that metpol are lax about raves in the capital (even if they still happen) so makes sense to be careful of security…

its a bit confusing as some of the same rigs turn up at both events, they happen roughly around the same time and synthetic circus definitely has taken a lower profile in recent years (i’d class the circuis as the better of the events TBH :wink:)

but I understand that perhaps people can’t be as open about this as they used to be 10 years ago for obvious reasons…

yh i went to the synthetic circus last year was a wicked night in kings cross the soundsystems were BASTARD SON/ENJOY KAOS/ABACUS/HEKATE they turned the soundsystems off and done a play on stage was a sick night

well there was a party this weekend just gone, and i was way too mashed from friday to go to it, gutted. it was supposed to be amazing as well, no trouble and no police. thats all i can say as i didnt go. was in bristol tho…
