in London there have also been Christians protesting outside abortion clinics. One of my mates and his missus encountered them. Had they made a counter-protest they would have been arrested.
the capital is full of angry people with too much time on their hands, its why I call it Londonistan (not just because of Muslims!) Religion is also being used to cover up a bitter resource war and other tensions in the streets. However the alternative to stop this happening is to limit human rights and the right to protest and gather for everyone (such as the students, eco-protestors etc)
a very important thing to be aware of is putting aside religion, laws and human rights, in operational policing terms metpol letting these Muslims have their protest and the EDL counter protest is not much different from the feds backing off at Scumoween despite being pelted – or letting the students protest.
again cops took a pragmatic approach, they let this event happen (however distasteful it was to onlookers) but nicked those who were actually breaking the law.
many normal people are just as (or even more) fucked off with the concept of people being able to invade others’ private property, and half trash it whilst taking a boatload of illegal drugs..
BTW for those in the East of England, a lot of the budget used to successfully stop the bulk of raves came from funds originally earmarked against terrorism which otherwise went unused because the Muslims in EA (outside Luton) weren’t kicking off at all, being middle class moderates with good jobs.
