  • A Chinese takeaway could face criminal charges after live mice were found in its noodles.

Health inspectors, who were making a routine visit, discovered the rodents when they heard rustling sounds at the Dragon Palace in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex.

BBC – Newsbeat – Live mice found in noodles at Chinese takeaway in Essex

Plural MICE as well … are cages overly expensive in china or something?

In China they’d charge extra for mice with the noodles! BTW this was the “Hidden mouse”, I should have put in the pic first time round – it looks none too happy about having its home turned upside down by the feds..

Westcliff on Sea was in Essex last time I checked, unless its been sold to the Chinese along with EDF Energy Networks..

Oh yeah failed to read the bit that stated “ESSEX” lol

see that pic and the one of it on the floor ….

It’s lucky it didn’t get served up tbh.

In China they’d still close the restaurant down but the argument would be “his noodles are so bad, they poisoned the mice” :

    lol 🙂

    (did you make that? haha)

    yep..

some proper uni professor round here has said its against animal rights to covertly film creatures all the time :laugh_at:

Animals’ ‘right to privacy’ denied by wildlife documentary makers, academic argues

They aren’t even particularly nice noodles. I’ve had those kinds but they can be a bit bland and often greasy if added to stir fries which they often are. The thinner ones are better. I’m not surprised the mouse decided they make better living quarters than food.

lol yeah them noodles are the ones a local take away use for cowmain and there not very nice … the really really thin ones that are like 1/4 the thickness of spagette are easyly the best.

I always wondered where you got them from but according to hoo hing the thin ones have to be picked up from Chadwell Heath or Leyton in 9kg boxes as they are unsuitable for online delivery – (I can’t see them staying in one piece in the back of a 35 ton truck).

BTW for anyone curious about what became of the two live mice, the health inspectors (a Mr Ramm and a Ms Fox :laugh_at: ) let them go free raaa

    LOL @ there names!!!
