NB: unless someone can confirm otherwise, I am not sure if the “Disruption” mentioned below is our local crew in EA or another one. I am not an expert on speakers so am not sure if they have 1850s although I think they do..

Can everyone keep an eye out for anyone selling these types of speakers:

Freakencys 4 1850s white with straight brace loaded with void V 1000’s and PD1850s.
Two proline 2700 and one 2400.
    One berry ultradrive.
Amocrack and 2 turbo tms 5s.
Four 1850s blue with cross bracing.
Two green 1850s with straight braces.
    Double 18 midtop.

These speakers were stolen from Alliance, Disruption, Freakency & Evolution on Tuesday 28th December so if anyone has suspicion that these could belong to these rigs then please contact Lewis Mac.

P.S: Also anyone with groups connected to the free party scene could you please copy and past this message and send it out to everyone on your group, it would be highly appreciated

I will mention it to a few peeps and get the word out.

this is a better description of the stuff and yes it did get robbed from round our way so it probably is the local lot what lost stuff..

4 x 1850 folded horns loaded with v18-1000 drivers. Black outside and white inside with 2 straight line baffles that come down to the front of the cab.

2 x Turbosound TMS5’s. Cabs painted black, in good condition with the dual speakon outputs and crossover adjuster.

1 x Thon Amprack Blue with castors.

    2 x Thomann Proline 2700 amps

    1 x Thoman TA 2400 amp

    1 x Behringer Ultradrive

1 x Blue box of various speakons/xlrs/kettle leads etc

IF you hear of any of these come up please let me know, basically have to start from scratch again now so completely gutted!!!

It is the disruption from our way GL.

fucks sake :hopeless: – I did have a nasty feeling it was them..

you see why I don’t go out much any more these days?

I’ve got a lotof respect for your crew (even though I’ve not yet made it to one of your events), Disruption and Undetected as I feel you lot genuinely do believe in the old skool rave values but there just seem to be too many robbing scrotes and muppets latching on to this scene what you can’t trust for shit…

rigs robbing rigs? or wrong end of stick?

well all that equipment has little use outside the electronic dance music scene, its too loud/big for smaller PA’s.. its probably another crew what thought they are “bigger and harder” than the “bumpkin rigs” :hopeless:

this scene is actually starting to cannibalise itself…

was gonna say did anyone find out what happened to the rig? rigs robbing rigs, well, thats a fresh one to me, is there no sense of ‘hang on, why rob them, lets just team up to make 1 uber rig’ kinda thing?
    bad times man…

    How were they stolen!?

Whatever locks/bolts existed on the lock up were forced and the equipment removed.

thats what my mates and the Bristol lot did but someone else thought it was more “street” to rob their kit… TBH this isn’t the first time stuff like this has happened either, it tends to happen every time the economy gets bad just that when the last recession happened the Internet wasn’t in such regular use.

things have got worse though as illegal events are stopped very quickly and a lot of expensive kit has been confiscated, outside cities its near impossible to put on a rave-type legal event without loads of unpleasant license conditions and CID checking out all the promoters for involvement with drugs and crime, and even drug dealing isn’t as profitable these days as the market is saturated and chasing after a smaller number of customers (todays teenagers actually take less drugs!)

I don’t think stuff like this is just done to obtain equipment but also to put competitors out of the game – the scene has never been as idealistic and right-on as people think it is, there is a strong element of ruthless competition involved..

How much are those tracker things they put in computers n stuff to put people off robbing them?

or do they pretend they’re in there more often to prevent people from stealing it anyway.

If you mean passive RFID tags, they are fairly cheap and are more and more widespread these days (as is Smartwater and other hidden methods of asset tagging).

Bear in mind though for a crew doing unlicensed events the cops only have to seize their rig, scan all the tags and they have proof the rig was used for this event…

whatever your personal views may be its morally (and practically) problematic to buck the system (such as other peoples property rights) and then expect it to back you up when yours are disrespected, which is sadly why on “alternative/anarchic” cultures people prey on one another…

Wouldn’t it be easy to remove for unlicensed events and then put back?

No, as for one thing the thieves could do that as well, or they’d just rob the speakers between the time of returning from the unlicensed event and replacing the tags.

I’ve been partying with some of these folk what had their kit robbed.

They are good people, and they are your typical “hippy go lucky” ravers who enjoy getting trashed more than anything else, so split second military style organisation, and a bit of deviousness / ruthlessness is not their strong point 😉

so you couldn’t easily hide the tag where a thief couldn’t see it?
