ok, long story so i’ll try to sum it up quick sharp:
last day of a festival early august 2010, I was in a dance tent and a girl comes up and asks for a light, and whilst i’m getting out my lighter says, “do you know where I can find any pills” (or words to that effect) and i just so happened to have 8, and didn’t really need 8 as it was the last night so I said i’d sort her out, sold her 3 for a tenner, and then sold her mate 3 for a tenner. then 10 mins later i got nicked, turns out they were undercover cops (sneaky bastards)
that night in the interview I was mashed and told them far too much, only had 2 left on me at the time and I admitted possesion of a class A. then I was on bail untill mid november when I had to report to answer bail at my local police station (it kept getting delayed for some reason) and when I finally answered bail for the interview I requested a solicitor and he basically said “keep your mouth shut unless they tell you they have tested the pills and they are class A” because he had a suspicion they were not actually ecstasy. he also said if they are class A I’ll most likly be charged there and then with supply of a class A and will have to appear in crown court get a hefty fine a crim record and a sentance of 18-24 months which would most likely get suspended as i have a clean record.
so throughout the interview I stuck to my “no comment” answer as the solicitor instructed me and the police officer kept trying to get me to say i thought they were ecstasy when i sold them, but i never did. and as it turns out they were BZP, class C:weee:
then at the end I was released on bail again untill today, whilst my case was sent to the Crown Prosecution Service and they would basically decide wether or not they could get me with supply of a class A. and then today I get a call from my solicitor 1 hour before I was supposed to answer bail, he said theres no need to answer bail today, I have been “reported for any offences” and if I am to be charged i will receive a summons through the post. he also added it would seem unlikey they are going to charge with supply of a class A drug now, (fingers crossed)as if they were going to do it they would have done it today.
anybody have any experience of this? am i still on bail? am I to expect a summmons to a magistrates court to get a charge for supply of class C now?
