probably just a few kids posted on bebo that it was a hall party or similar..
The Framlingham and Area Youth Action Partnership book St Michael’s Rooms in the town every other Friday night.
It is believed last night’s session had been promoted on the internet as a DJ night and a large crowd was expected.
Police became aware of the gathering and advised organisers that permission would have to be secured for such an event, after which the night was called off.
A force spokesman said: “Police became aware of a number of people planning to attend an evening at St Michael’s rooms in Framlingham on Friday night.
“Following advice from officers in relation to the requirement for a Temporary Event Notice the organisers cancelled the evening and the Framlingham and Area Youth Action Partnership decided to close the youth group this week.”

saw this.. lol
it seems harsh, but then again if some 13 year old kid has advertised it on multiple facebook walls as a hall party with a “big stack and bare ketiums”, consider that it will attract a lot of older teenagers and even young adults with easy access to cars, swelling the numbers beyond what is tolerable (to the locals) or even safe, and worse, a lot of people recently attending hall parties haven’t exactly respected the halls..
Yeah that’s a fair point.. keep it in the group and things would be much easier to handle, especially with regards to unwanted guests!
I’ve been thinking actually.. perhaps it is time to keep parties between friends again. It seems the best way to attract likeminded souls and thus radiate the ideology you’re trying to achieve, rather than having it said by other people who may not represent the values of the sound system. I guess that’s obvious to most people on here though!
Ha, I used to go to school at fram.
I suspect the kids were also planning to rinse grime/dubstep with MC’s competing for the mike / winding up factions within the crowds, and of course the feds would get para as there is a precedent of such events causing violence in this area..
I definitely think we need to go back to smaller, friendlier crowds, but in reality even the smaller parties get blighted by the risk of trouble – society has changed and not for the better. That said, in recent times I’ve met a new group of friends who aren’t so much into drugs/dance music and they seem to behave a lot better in groups, so I think people do need to get back to the “old skool” ways of thinking/behaving…
or find a newer better way of thinking learning from past mistakes as well as current ones rather then repeating them?
I agree on the getting on better with people in the long run with out drugs/booze and do know that dependant on what group you hang about with and what they are into makes a hell of a diferance to your outlook on life.
If you’ve come from a drug group past, “normal” people who are still cool, but just don’t take drugs, tend to have much more healther/possative lifestyle’s (ofc there are unhealthy people in all walks of life – but they would be like “WTF? 3 days with out eating or sleeping???? … you’re mad!” – to put in in comparison) which will rub off on you. Even the party crews who arn’t such mash heads are alot more with it then the, for example, k adled party heads.
Alot of people in “normal” sociaty that have problems with family/friends or the law tend to have had some relationship with drugs/booze even if it’s not them directly who’s taken either. It could be for example a drunk dad who takes his anger out on his kids and they grow up to be criminals because of this.
humans arn’t suposed to alter there brain chemastry as dramaticaly as alot of people are doing on a regula basis and maintain a healthy state of mind … if we were ment to think a certain way all of the time we would allready be thinking that way, no? I mean a little dabble of something now and then is great fun and doesn’t do any harm I’m sure … but if people do shit everyday then they are altering there brain chemical balance so much it can’t be healthy can it?
a lot of my new mates aren’t in any way anti-drugs (and are pro legalisation) but do them rarely – some of the younger lot actually asked me if I could get some weed, but I had to say (quite truthfully) – “everyone I know has either quit, gone mad, or been busted by the feds”…..
