KSS (UK) and Acolytes (FR) Freetekno Party in Brittany France

Two Stages, Three Days – NON STOP!

This freetekno party is held on land with the owners permission and with authority approval. Therefore please

respect the land and neighbours/locals! 🙂

This will be the third year KSS have travelled over to this region to hold a friendly party with Acolytes Sound

System. The last two have been great parties in wonderful locations – no air strips! If you can make it we

guarantee it is worth the journey.

KSS UK Techno & Freetekno – Automatic remotely updated precise party information

This is the official App for KSS – UK Techno & Freetekno Sound System.

Why have an app?

With technology changing all the time it was about time that party lines (info lines) moved with the times. We’ve all had the situation where we can’t understand the bloke on the end of the phone or the information is wildly out of date. As an underground first this is 21st century solution to free parties and techno events. We deliver the information to you – live and pin point accurate.

What the app does:

– Latest Event Flyer – updated and downloadable to share

– Event Location, remotely updated (connects to Navigation and google maps)

– Ability to send event location to non-Android users by SMS

– Infolines, oldskool backup if you need it, remotely updated so always accurate

– KSS Links, to our Facebook, Homepage, MP3 Store and to email us

Sorry due to emulator issues with connecting to web databases I can not screenshot the best part of the application – the automatic event / party location part. However it is full functional and i’d suggest downloading the app and trying it out.

Other info:

Our next event is in France and this app will be operational with direct location of that event released remotely to the event location prior to the start of the event.

This really is the future of underground party information.

I vaguely remember in about 2001 suggesting doing this as you had tatted a load of old computers (using one to send texts via the modem using a gateway number) – except hardly anyone had GPS sets then and they would have had to get a conventional OS map to decipher the grid reference (I still have that Garmin 12XL in a drawer somewhere, I upgraded it though as it was so heavy when I fixed it to my bike the handlebars were put slightly off balance :laugh_at:).

Actually broadband was a new thing then!

Some EA ravers in the Mid 2000s actually did used to send a single text with the grid reference to trusted people but these smarter people have got family commitments now so have dropped out of partying.

Even before online maps became accessible via mobile it was feasible as even cheap garage A-Z road planners often have grid references on them..

Unfortunately these days – I use a Blackberry rather than Android and refuse to pay the exorbitant travel costs to London from where I live at the moment and don’t have the time to leave the UK

as for the tinfoil hat lot, its only KSS who are taking the risk. Signing up to their location service doesn’t prove you are going to a illegal rave any more than signing up to a crime prevention mailing list makes you a policeman..

KSS Fundraiser – BBQ Party @ The Royal Sovereign – Hackney

Sunday 3rd July 2011 – Midday to Midnight

We are holding a short notice BBQ Party at the very friendly Royal Sovereign on Northwold rd, Hackney, London.

This event is in aid of raising some funds and having a friendly BBQ knees up to support the sound system while the French have our truck impounded due to complications with licensing at a recent event in Brittany. We have been informed we should be expecting the release of the truck and sound soon. But need to raise some money to cover yet another ferry and fuel to get it back
all back to the UK.

We’ve had some amazing support from the following, who are all either
playing or have donated prizes for raffle – We thank you all:

Malfaiteurs, XOYO, Solution Sounds, Dalston Superstore, Kronik, Mooch,
Access All Areas, Stinky Pink, Hub Sounds, DSS, The Big Sexy Festy Party,
Does It Offend You Yeah?, Tribe of Munt, Stay Up Forever, Squat Records and
of course the Royal Sovereign.

Expect a quality BBQ with Jerk Chicken, Salads, bread all home made and at underground prices! Friendly party crowd, sounds inside and out from midday to midnight progressing from Beats and Dub through to breaks and finally techno!
