  • I’ve visited this forum a lot over the past 2 years, first starting with research for my first shroom trip. A great resource for a foundation! Since then, I’ve tripped multiple times and also stepped up to using LSD (3x).

These drugs have opened up a whole new section of my life. Amazing. I have such a respect for these drugs and who I’ve become because of them. I also have focused more on planning my trips so they are more mind expanding. Music choices, specific videos to watch, and making gadgets, (orbitals and infinity mirrors)

I also enjoy raves so these two often coincide. How would you like to have this for your next trip?

    Milkdrop is the best.

    Welcome to PV!

any chance of sharing the design for the infinity mirror? (might inspire me to pick up my soldering iron again…)

its actually a real hardware thing the dude has made. one part of it is | ring of coloured LED’s in a tube of reflective materials. with modern electronics these can be made to display various psychedelic patterns..

Milk drop is amazing. I have winamp and once you get into the actual editing of the hardware itself (ie frame rate, transitions, etc) you can make it even better.

TBH I spent a long time finding the correct materials to build this, I will eventually post a youtube video of a “DIY” but I would like to make some money before I do that… Not trying to sound like a dick but in this economy I need to make some extra money on the side! lol

fair enough, I did think the mirrored material at least would be hard to get these days (although it was really common when I was in junior school and used for crafts, that is 30 years ago now :laugh_at: )

Bear in mind though many of us here are in England/Europe. it would cost loads in carriage costs and customs duty to import your gadget, we’d have to cross our fingers the couriers would get it here in one piece, then we’d have to find a suitable power supply for 230V instead of 110V.

Also maybe things are different in USA but here hardly anyone knows how to do proper hardware work any more. My own hardware engineerings skills are a bit rusty, and I admit that if there was only a few pounds/dollar’s difference between the cost of the ready made item and the kit I’d buy a ready built one. This is a country where sound crews would rather spend more on buying ready made speaker leads than making them, and they are hardly rocket science!

Mirrored material? Er like a mirror?

yes but one you need to shape into a tube or other form which really isn’t the easiest thing to do with a traditional glass mirror 😉

    cheers dude..

I vaguely remember doing something like this but with a torch in junior school about 30 years ago (LED’s then only came in red or sometimes orange/green and were a lot more pricey than they are now!) and thinking it was cool then..
