  • Had wicked time on home turf again, less than 10 miles from my house!

The party was supposed to be a multirigger but OB confiscated one of the rigs at the meet point (school boy error really, they shud hav know better than to take the rig to swafham picnik site). Other than that, was a phat night, plenty of peeps, some good tunes, plus a dedicated set to the lad from suffolk who died the other week.
OB shut the party down at about 11am and let the rig go home after we cleared up, everyone chilled in the sun when the music was off.

I was hangin big time yesterday, and im still feeling it now. Roll on this weekend for Sensi-tek and the madness that will follow! I cant wait!:bounce_flraaa

think there get their rig back?

is this the party where they had to swicth the rig off because some idiot was trying to rob people, so the crowed smashed his van up?

I think it was. At least he was deterred from doing so, although a young womans car may have been also damaged as collaterial damage when he was escaping (though it could be through sketchy driving as well).

TBH I suspect another reason cops let it go is they’d already got one rig and they would have known about the OD death as when one of these happens both the cops and NHS all the way from Lowestoft to Luton get told about the incident due to the way public services are organised for all their faults of the system sometimes cops do have some humanity and compassion…

Shame about that lad. I think more should be said about what legal highs he took (if these are known) so we can warn others, as some nasty and dangerous stuff is now appearing in them.

yeah i heard about the lad who passed away in his sleep – RIP raver,

tbh im of the firm belief that people should leave these so called “legal highs” well alone, i wouldnt touch em with a barge pole!

shame there was more trouble at a norfolk party, fair play to the crew, sounds like it was delt with properly!

Over 10 years ago the BNP / NF tried to fuck over EA parties (which had and still have a reputation for being one of the few friendly multicultural places in this area) but friends of mine from Suffolk saw them off, and they did the same to thieves (I wasn’t living here at that time but met the folk what did this a few years ago)

its a shame the culture of fighting/robbery is turning up but TBH if people continue make a stand against it hopefully these idiots won’t bother travelling to parties. But also what needs to happen nowadays is they need to be dropped out of the loop – defriend them from FB and other such places, don’t exchange phone calls and texts with them, and even if they have a car (and can provide lifts) or can get drugs tell them to JTFO as if the scene becomes co-dependent on wannabe gangsters that will fuck it over worse than any cops could ever do..

yeah simple steps like that will soon put an end to their stupididy, cut away the drift wood!

weve never had issues with racists/facists, we do have the odd incident with chavs/football hooligans if we do central/southern bristol but they get delt with very very swiftly,

infact to be honest if theres a scrap at a party its usually us messing about & having a giggle! this happend at devon on the weekend actually! the devon crew looked a little put out at 1st but when we expalined its our mates having a drunken wrestle on the dancefloor and weve all been mates for well over 15 years they found it funny!

Yeh this party was the one with theiving pikeys in a white van. When the pricks drove off after having their van smashed up, they drove into the crowd and run over some lad and broke his leg in 2 places. Atleast we had the chance to deal with these theives, to bad we didnt get hold of the other 2 lads who kidnapped ryan. Even tho they have been out in the past few weeks and nobody has realised they have been out and nothing has been done about them. Other systems dont seem to care they are partying and dancing with theives n mugs, i cant wait for them 2 lads to turn up to on of our parties again, they are going get a taste of there own medicine!

are the norfolk kidnappers still at large! crikey!

I saw a post on SJ from a young woman saying her car was collided into and badly damaged. was this connected? (I know some folk are sketchy drivers but normally collisions as bad as this are rare..)

Blimey, so much shit goes on in SE, is it because it’s been going for longer there and people take advantage now, or is it just more susceptible to gobshites?

East Anglia (which isn’t strictly a part of SE England but a region in its own right) had really friendly parties with less trouble until comparatively recently. I think the problems are more to do with complex sociopolitical issues across the UK and even wider Europe than just raves alone, because of other society pressures people have become angrier and sketchier..

I kind of see what you’re saying, but if you’re talking about people’s situations making them dodgy, North/Mid Devon has always been one of the lowest earning areas in the country, which obviously leads to shitty situations, it also has a big party scene that is well known by pretty much everyone around, and you very rarely see trouble down there.

its not just “lack of money” (in fact EA is nearly as affluent as SE England, I’ve lived in both areas) but local personality differences. People here are stubborn, opinionated and willing to fight their corner and always have been long before such things as raves even existed. Add to that a desire (even by a minority) to ape the “London hard man / gangster” culture as well as a increasingly competitive society and this always creates potential flashpoints at any large gathering.

Fair enough, I can see where you’re coming from, it’s alot like where I am to be honest, except it’s less about aping London and more about just looking out for yourself and proving a point about being the hard man.
