Whos going to boomtown tommorow then? Ive been excited for it for months after missing out on it last year .
Should be a fucking mental weekend, going down with about 30 mates aswell for one final party together before they all head off to uni etc
Yep, possibly the best line-up I’ve ever seen for a festival so should be a good one! I’ve heard from people on-site that it’s already getting muddy (it’s in a natural ‘bowl’ that collects rainwater) so best being your wellies!
Can’t even express how upset I am I’m not going, was going to go to any lengths to get there, but work and family duties call! :'( Hope you all have a rubbish time without me 😉
Just got back. I didn’t touch a drug all weekend, and only drank 10 beers. This wasn’t some detox thing, I just didn’t need to because it was so facking good!
nice one moonie. i wanted to go but a holiday popped up which i couldn’t refuse so i couldn’t go.
what was the techno like? did you see audiospaian & producer? did they get away with noise?
such a heavy weekend! such a mental festival, can’t wait till next years. was only a 10 min drive from my house as well. shame to here about that girl who died though 🙁

Girl died?!?
i was camped next to there camp and i got told she dint died ans is in intensive care
I saw both the major casualties for the time I was there (missed sunday night), and they didn’t look like they were going to die to be honest. There was a guy at the jam tent who went up on stage who was so munted, I’ve never seen anything like it before, he was like a special needs zombie.
Didn’t actually catch a lot of techno Minghead, the only bit I got was more hardtek, and was in some grotty little hole with no lights that was locked most of the weekend, but had the best music in it out of all the little bits IMO. Managed to spend a while knocking about with GLC too which was tidy.
from actual advice to UK doctors and medical professionals..
In certain conditions a patient may appear dead if not thoroughly examined:
- Following prolonged submersion in cold water
- Following ingestion of alcohol or drugs
- When hypoglycaemic, or in a coma
They may recover completely, if treated appropriately.

so in these cases the usual procedure is to bluelight the casualty to the nearest Emergency Department and put them on life signs monitoring and administer appropriate treatment (she would probably have been taken to Stoke Mandeville). Very few people actually die from party/festival drugs, even if they have a nasty scare – the bulk make a full recovery.
However, one reason festival tickets cost loads these days though is the NHS increasingly ask (via the Drugs and Alcohol Action Team) for at least some contribution to the extra costs which is fair enough – most large festivals result in at least a handful of extra casualties to the nearest ED (all the nurses I work with have confirmed this when they have been on the wards in a hospital near a festival site).
THIS FESTIVAL IS OFF THE HOOK!!!!
Gutted to all those who didnt go you missed out bigtime…bee sure to get tickets next year otherwise you will be double gutted!
