hi my friend takes methadrone once a month and would take two grams every 4 to five weeks but inbetween times he doesn’t drink or smoke and leads normal life. he doesn’t get comedown and looks back on great times but is he doing much damage to himself? thanks
Im guessing your talking about mephedrone and in my opinion i dont think hes doing much damage to himself but there isnt much research done on the long term side effects of mephedrone so nobody can really tell you to what extent your friend might or might not be getting damaged to
yeh most people i know done alot lot more far more often wouldnt worry atall
it seems like a very “disciplined” usage pattern and unlikely to cause major health issues.
That said if this chap has this level of self discipline he’d be better off taking MDMA as its more effective and has less side effects particularly if done in this moderate manner – plus as I guess mephedrone is now illegal in IE like anywhere else in the UK and low end drugs usage has relatively small penalties the main risk is the hassle of getting caught…
TBH the only real advantage of mephedrone was that it was “legal” and easy to get. Otherwise it has always been a lesser substitute either for MDMA or amfetamine type stimulants, being somewhere between the two in “fun” effects, and with more physical and mental health side effects even after medium term use.
hi their is no mdma around this way its all pills and methedrone my friend has also found that the methedrone that looks like grains of rice to be far better than the powder? my friend can do it and party like best of them but knows when hes chasing something and then leaves it 4 weeks or so then go nuts and keeps it low key with good friends also my friend don’t know if it better to bomb than snort? thanks for helping my friend lol
been a while since I touched the stuff but always found that bombing is less harsh on the nose and associated body parts than snorting and tends to encourage less “fiendish” behaviour (repeated use) as well as less minor illnesses on the comedown…
i think it would still be legal in this country if all meph heads had been as sensible as ur friend.

This may be the view for older or more experienced drug users but imo mephedrone created a whole new generation of drug users who never would have touched drugs if there wasnt this “all new amazing LEGAL high” which everyone was talking about, i was taking pills for about two years before meph came out and people who were scared to drop an e were the ones who ended up total meph feinds, alot of people nowadays prefer meph to speed and mdma, tho most people who sniff alot of meph have never even tried proper speed, i didnt try meph til quite late cus i thought it would be crap but tbh there never was much of a speed scene ever in N.I. unless you go back to the 90’s but the pill scene had always been massive, but meph basically created a whole new scene here, people dont ask for meph anymore its just “sniff” and tbh its never even mephedrone its just gangsters selling random unknown stims that resemble the high that meph gave, crystal mdma never was big anywhere in ireland you just basically have to source it yourself

yes, we had this in England and other countries of the UK as well to some extent, and I don’t disagree that “legality” created a lot more drug users who would otherwise not have tried drugs, but all the older drug users were once aged 15-19 when they first started taking substances about two decades ago.
OK drugs weren’t legal as such but we didn’t give a shit (it anything I find younger people to be less rebellious and more socially conservative than I was at that age), plus the dealers really made a big effort to spread the use, as much because it was fun as to make money! TBH a lot of the moral panic and legal backlash over mephedrone exactly mirrored that of pills/MDMA when they first became available in the 1990s….
what is more of a problem is the binge culture across all age groups. Alcohol is of course legal and way too many people already take too much of it because its easily available. Until or unless this is dealt with we have no chance of any other substances being made less controlled…
hi from north of ireland my friend has took pills in past but its hard sleep on them so has anyone seen meth that comes in grains of rice that have to be crushed?

Pretty sure what you mate is getting is not meph, but 4-mec. After china made it illegal, all the so called meph ive had, has not been meph but 4-mec. Its sooo easy to tell as all the crystals are long. When it was legal, I never had meph that looked like that.

actually thinking about historical incidents in 2001/2002 this post could have been repeated back then but saying that pills could have been moved to class B or even lower – there was ocne a (way too overoptimistic) feeling in the late 90s/early 2000s that the EU was coming very close to decriminalisation of “party” drugs (although back then there were a lot of elected centre left and Green governments in EU countries actively considering this option)
but what happened from 1999 to about 2002 was a resurgence in good quality pills at low cost – then followed by a spate of fatal overdoses and folk suffering other health problems and a inevitable Police / legal backlash (it was this what also caused a decline in the use of MDMA and other amfetamine type stimulants leading to K becoming increasingly popular).

yeh true its most likely 4-mec though theyre both stimulants so i don’t see why you would take this if you think it’l be easier to get to sleep on, 4-mec would prob be harder to sleep on unless you just got drunk and did one line or something, or just get some diazepam which are quite common in N.I. and your friend shouldn’t have much of a problem with either
I personally think meow meow can lead to more mental health problems than people think.
I know a friend who has mental health issues anyway and meow meow has just made the thing worse. In my opinion, any drug can make mental health worse. its a fine balance between fun and abuse
