that area was the first place I cycled any long distance to when I got my touring bike in 2003 and it was a tunnel crew party I was headed to.

tip: If cycling from Reading, be aware the so-called “Thames Path” from Marlow onwards is basically a mud track in a cow field. I ended up plouging through mud at about 04:00 surrounded by bemused cows (but it was either that or riding the shoulder of a A road with lorries and 70-100mph traffic). There are probably better routes but the GPS I had in 2003 was a monochrome one with a compass pointer only and not much in the way of base maps..

I remember a few years back travelling through there with some of tunnel crew and noticed that the Fire Station had 5 appliances which is loads for a town of that size (normally you get space for 3). I asked them if randomly setting things on fire was a normal weekend pastime in High Wycombe (even more so than in Reading or Ipswich which only have 3 appliances at each fire station) to warrant so many units being kept available. Their answer was “yep thats about right”… 😉

Managed to miss this one but I’m sure it was a stomper as always. GL I know exactly what you mean about the thames path between marlow and cookham It’s v frustrating, used to cycle up ther alot and go fishing oposite cardboard castle

Had a wicked time playing for our friends the Tunnel crew again…. the Mr & Mrs set went down well although i struggled due to being half deaf in my left ear due to a stinky cold…. but we had the stack crew in the house again…. place was jumping and the speakers were too lol….. raaaraaaraaaraaaraaaraaa

Was great to see so many faces there as I hadn’t been down for a few months!!! Ripping time as always 😀
good seeing so many faces and never knew so many party vibers visited our local lil roundabout!
