Pretty neat little thing. Haven’t had the chance to do anything with it yet as I need to get an SD card with a linux distro on it to boot, but it’s such an elegant device. Only slightly bigger than a credit card as well! Going to be quite fun using this I reckon.
if there is a ASDA near you they sell SD cards and readers…
Sadly all the ASDAs are really far away. I think I’ll just order it off amazon as I’ve got amazon prime next day delivery thing.
Are there no tescos or camera shops near you? not sure where in the capital you are but I’d be inclined to just get on the tube or cycle/walk to the nearest place selling these cards.
Occasionally Sainsbury’s (It’s my local due a strange planning quirk) do specials on SD-cards – always worth checking. Got a few 4Gb jobbers there, at 2.99 each. Barg.
And I like ’em because they treat their staff and customers like human beings, not resources to be mercilessly exploited.
sainsburys is miles away here. Nearest is ASDA but this is East Anglia (where workers burned down entire farms in employment disputes not long ago, and best friends murder each other in their 40s over a unsolved dispute from middle school) so I think the management have had to accept local culture. TBH it seems to still retain the culture of Woolverstone rather than Wal*Mart and no one takes all the yank stuff seriously. I’m glad you can’t buy guns there though or there would be hardly anyone left alive on my estate :laugh_at: My only gripe is that half the time I am carded when I want a beer – one woman carded every lad including big Polish builders/stevedores clearly in their 30s but from the way she was acting (not malicious but seems she was trying to be “everyones mum”) her son’s probably gone in warren hill for a long stretch after beating someone up whilst pissed and its always a big blow to mums, especially when its a real crime rather than minor shit like drugs or petty theft and often its a lad who does it “out of character” (99% of the time in reality they’ve been doing it for a while but because young people “won’t grass” they get away with it and get used to it, and unless you are a complete muppet you don’t brag to your mum you’ve beaten the shit out of someone for disagreeing with you, some mums (albeit with a heavy heart) will actually call the cops!)
