anyone got suggestions? something which preferably produces a WYSIWYG layout or nearest and includes some free flash buttons or easy ways of doing mouseover image changes…
I used Dreamweaver (not free) and notepad ++ (free but no WYSIWYG).
This probably seems to be what you’re looking for. If it’s not, I can find something better, it’s just the first thing that came to mind for your specifications.
I’m proppa jellous. Although I was lucky enough to have had networked pc’s when I was at school but, the fact that my nice’s know more about website design than I do makes me sad. sh’e only like 11 or 10 or something.
howabout something like this…..Free Ecommerce Website – Create your own online shop with Free Webstore
Well, look. You CAN use an editor to write HTML from scratch, but why not just use Open Source web page designs, have a look how they work, and see if they’re close to what you want?
OK, a bit slower to get started but you will actually save time in the long term, and it’s not like you are losing anything or ripping off anybody else. I wouldn’t go that way for designing web shops (not without a lot of practise and knowledge) but will help, when used together with WYSIWYG HTML editors.
Open Source Web Design – Download free web design templates.
if it’s ecommerce you’re after then osCommerce, Open Source Online Shop E-Commerce Solutions is pretty good and has plugins for most payment gateways. If you’re just after a WUSIWYG editor then BlueGriffon, The next-generation Web Editor based on the rendering engine of Firefox it pretty good, a lot simpler than dreamweaver, but achieves the same outcome 🙂
