  • I’m working on a new light entertainment show and we’re on the hunt for some of Britain’s most unique families, in particular parents and kids who socialise together.

Be it pubs, clubs, or festivals, if this sounds of interest then please do get in touch.

Payment offered and will involve day or two of filming on either August 23rd or 24th with our comedian presenter.

Please email: patrick.lynch@magnumtv.co.uk if this sounds of interest.

    Thanks!

Are you from Magnum Media in London, UK , perhaps part of RTL/Fremantle or whatever they call themselves these days?

If you are working on behalf of a production company please give their full details so folk can confirm who you are and what other projects you’ve made – the users here are more media savvy than most and wary of journalists. (they might even be interested in some of your companys work!)

Amongst many families I know this behaviour isn’t odd, people are currently more liberal and many my age who became parents early now have grown up children in their late teens or early 20s. We used to get whole families turning up at raves round here but it wouldn’t have been advisable for them or you making a light entertainment show out of it – not that some of the antics lacked entertainment value – quite the opposite, but many of these events were not licensed.

Please be aware this isn’t a mainstream clubbing or festival site, and wider attitudes to hedonism have also changed even in recent years…

I’m assuming you are only going to want people over 18 for compliance purposes which would make sense, but even then most folk on here are going to be wary. They get judged enough as it is, and its easy to trace people once they’ve been on the idiot box especially with facebook and other social media.

I’m just a few miles away from the Essex border and round these parts you do get TOWIE type girls and mums as you would expect. Not without comedy value either, but (especially as if you are from the company I’m thinking of) hire studios in South Essex.

You would get far better luck asking around the hair and beauty salons in this area – may be worth using a female researcher for this purpose, unless you have any use for hair and beauty services yourself, as someone who worked in the industry I’m open minded about this sort of thing 😉

Did you ever find any lesbians in Manchester (as what appears to be tweets from your company were asking?) We just kicked off 3 supposedly “bi” sex workers from that area just today for escort agency spam :laugh_at:

iirc they were charging £1000 for 12 hours “entertainment”, could easily record one night out on the town with them for that. :laugh_at:

I think GL rumbled them LOLCANO style

TG wanna pretend to be my mum and we’ll take this guy to shambala with us? :laugh_at:

£1000 could be more than their budget for this…

I don’t think Paddy was trying to hide anything as such (some of the productions his company are involved in are fairly prestigious as far as C4 comedy shows go) – its not even his fault (his managers should have trained him how to approach people on forums or to at least do some further research) but people should at least have some idea of where the show might be ending up.

With youtube and other digital recordings its very hard to have a TV appearance (or just ending up on them sites) “forgotten” about, there is footage on my own videos I have been politely asked never to distribute on youtube (its nothing even that bad, but was embarassing for the person involved although funny when played back (especially as it wasn’t a stitch up or anything, I had no idea it was going to happen). There’s other stuff which would be funny shared amongst a group of ravers, but if taken out of context would probably not only get my youtube locked off but me and the folk involved having to explain to cops that it was all a joke, and the dude saying the piece to camera must be about 40 or over now, perhaps he has kids what watch youtube…

OK this show will have to go through compliance no matter where it transmits (they usually make shows for C4 but are hardly going to turn down commissions anywhere else) but I still remember (as do many others round here) how things went to shit for Tracey off Big Brother in 2007 in a very short length of time. The other obvious risk for extended families who party together is that sadly familes don’t often stay together and different family units mean that there are often both biological and step children below 18 even for a family where the parents and eldest are both adults. stuff like appearances on reality shows increasingly can be (and is) used as soft evidence in custody battles for children.
