  • I was trying to access demonoid for my cos my girlfriend wanted street dance 2 and it gave me the site busy message and I had a feeling it had been hit.

Demonoid has been hit by a massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, bringing down the famous BitTorrent tracker to its knees. The torrent website has been inaccessible to its millions of users for more than a day and is expected to remain offline for quite some time.As you can see in the screenshot above, Demonoid is currently serving up the following error message:

    Server too busy
The action you requested could not be completed because the server is too busy.

I said this attack was “massive” because it has resulted in a series of problems that may take a while to address. Over the years, Demonoid has been down many times, sometimes disappearing for months.
“It started as a DDoS but then it caused a series of problems,” Demonoid’s admin toldTorrentFreak. “These problems need to be fixed before the site can go back up, and it’s a complicated fix this time. There might have been an attack from another angle, an exploit of sorts, but it’s hard to tell right now without a full check of everything. Our human resources became limited in the last few months. All tech issues are handled just by me now and there is no one else to take the job. I’ll fix the site as soon as possible, but it might be a while this time.”
It’s currently unclear whether or not the attack against Demonoid was anti-piracy related. Either way, Demonoid’s users have to find an alternative for their downloading needs while they wait for its return.

I fucking hate it when people do this shit. I blame georgeliverpool94

Well this “script kiddy” apparently filmed himself doing it

    Cock! Why?

he says its because someone was talking shit to him so he thought he would bring them down for a few days. He obviously has problems.

    What a twat!

    Lol script kiddies.

We were a target last year. This kind of thing happens a lot.

    Did you actually get attacked??

Yes we were the target of an attack last year. I can’t say any more but you might remember the website slowed down in the first half of last year…

I may have been MIA at the time. I only popped back up around May last year so I guess I missed it. Harsh though man. I don’t see how we could make any enemys though. Were all about good vibes and love and all that. Poor, poor PV : (

    You’d be surprised.

It’s obviously a big conspiracy, why else would a man in a long coat get on my train every day. Think about it man.

    Fuck, I didn’t realise you owned a train…

… maybe he had really long legs? Or, no, maybe it was really 2 dwarfs one standing on top of the other, and they needed to coat to maintain the illusion and get half price tickets.

Hackers are, sadly, a law unto themselves. Until they get caught. Or falsely accused. Or run over by a random heavy vehicle or similar accident. RARELY they get married.
