Rajesh Shah claimed he had not named his store after the most reviled dictator in modern history but his partner’s grandfather who was known as ‘Hitler’ for his strict manner.

He had only become aware of the Nazi leader after searching the name on the internet.

    no comments rather than lol

A few years ago ketamine was sent between IN and UK in small parcels.

The K itself was decanted into bottles what formerly contained a variety of harmless liquids commonly found in India and used as cosmetics / beauty treatments by men and women alike. The rest of the parcel was filled up with cover cargo of other supplements found in Indian medicine – and the lot shipped via the Slough depot near Heathrow Airport.

The idea was UKBA would think this is just one of hundreds of parcels sent by the extended familes of British Asians to Blighty, containing normally legal items they could not easily obtain. (The method is no longer reliable as K is now class C and checked for plus MHRA considers the supplements themselves to be worse than illegal drugs, some apparently contained heavy metals due to contamination and so Border Force check them more closely.

Anyway one parcel contained a spray can of “Hitler handkerchief perfume” made in Bangalore. I had never encountered handkerchief perfume before and have no idea whether Hitler used it (it does seem that fashion concious Indian men do as well as the women) but a fair amount was in circulation in Bangalore in the 2000s.

Also a young Singapore couple adopted a kitten with the “Kitler” look and actually called it Hitler, this was all happily related on the Singapore animal protection website and as far as i am aware they all lived happily after and no one bats an eyelid at the couple shouting out “Hitler! Hitler!” every night when they want to call the cat indoors..

The darker side of this is that in Asia there is a lot of support for strong hard leaders irrespective of what they did. The Indian lads joke about his girlfriends grandad may be true, but consider also how old the grandad may be and that one big reason the British begrudgingly accepted Mohandas Ghandi was because they knew that it was either him or India siding with DE and JP which could have changed the course of war in the Pacific especially folllowing large Japanese gains in the 1940s.

That windows begging for red paint to be splattered up it. Either that or my size 10 boot through it. What the fuck were they thinking.

    They clearly weren’t.

Oh, I dunno. Perhaps there’s a market niche for stores named after genocidal maniacs.

The “Ariel Sharon” real estate megastore beckons, followed by the “Stalin” political poetry chain, the “Pol Pot” tobacconists, the “Pinochet” educational supply chain and possibly the “Saddam Hussein” shoeshop experience.

Quotes used to avoid lawsuits by vengeful Zionists. 🙂

… similar ploy to ‘go compare’ … just thinking about it, that guy must not be able to go out anywhere… i bet him and the halifax guy are hiding out in some bunker somewhere

maybe they wanted to shift the remaining stocks of handkerchief perfume..

Seriously though, as shocking as it may seem in the 21st century – there certainly is in countries like India, and of course no ban on swastikas like in some European nations for obvious historical and cultural reasons.

Perhaps its not as shocking if have any knowledge of Asian politics/military history – or are of Asian ancestry 😉

As non PC as it might be, I can see why the lad named the store whilst thinking of his granddad. I don’t think he is telling truth if he claims he doesn’t know who Hitler is, just he doesn’t give a shit any more than numerous Indian spammers who target us.

My own grandad on the Indian side of the family was long dead before I was born but from what I’ve heard of him he wasn’t a bad guy as such but very strict and controlling, and being a professional middle class man in a vital occupation ( a doctor) was treated well enough by the Japanese under occupation that he wouldn’t have been too fussed which way the war went provided his family were OK, and because of his standing in the community he was basically viewed as fairly “neutral” anyway.

When I researched the Chinese side of my family (not an easy task for someone who only understands European languages) it showed that about 100 different Chinese tribes whittled the numbers down to about 5 by a process of ruthless warfare and genocide, which is why Westerners often say “Chinese all look the same”.

So many Asians, especially those in positions of power and influence do tend to have a strong admiration for strong leaders even if they may not agree with their political views.

And far from being hated in his neighbourhood, there are a number of similarly named businesses and a core of support for Hitler which has gone as far as educators and politicians. The lad is of an age he may have encountered the textbook below.

The area itself is not free from recent political violence. the below might seem like “justice from violent crime” at a first glance, but it could equally be also an effective way of silencing a female politician by branding her as a serious criminal.
