I happen to be in London on 9th March when this event is taking place, so I thought I might go along with a tab of acid and maybe try and get some MDMA/pills there. But I’ve never been to anything like this, and if I go I’ll have to stay until 7:00am the next morning (when I can get the first train back to York), so if I go and it’s not what I’m expecting, I’m fucked!

So, has anyone ever been to an event by these guys (or even are going to this one!)? How was it and what can I expect? Is it likely to be far out from the city center?

There was a big meet up on here at a GDM event a while back I heard it was really good.
Raves always knacker you out whether you take drugs or not!
Try not to have any responsibilities the next day 🙂

That’s great to hear! Yeah, the only thing I have to do the day after is make sure I make it safely home, but I have a strong feeling I might fall asleep on the train back haha

This would be my first time tripping acid, too, although I’ve taken a medium-low dose (2.4g of dried cubensis) of shrooms and a fairly high dose of 25i before – so I think I can handle it. Would a 110ug dose of acid be enough to keep me entertained for the whole night? I don’t want to overdo it, since I’ll have to navigate an unfamiliar city in the morning, but I want to have a great time, too!

Sorry to bump the thread again, but I have quite a specific question that I doubt will be answered anywhere else: can I expect a cloakroom there? I’m not sure how above-board this is, but I’ll likely need somewhere to put my hoody/jacket, since I may well end up taking MDMA. I don’t want to go without one either, since I have a pretty long journey home, and I don’t fancy being cold on the comedown along with everything else!

Janio E sets up phat parties. i even got on the guest list and in for free last year. had a minimal stage which i think everyone can agree (and a lot of people didn’t even like minimal) was fucking amazing and proper chillaxed… we grooved there way more than the psy room….

that crazy carnie lady was jokes doing spinny stuff with us… pretty sure it was nigboat who by accident let go and she went flying across the minimal dancefloor onto her back….. :laugh_at:

i remember the look on her face when i told her we had to leave (at like 1pm….) A BROKEN LADY

Awesome! Thanks guys 🙂 I’m actually really excited for it now, you guys make it sound amazing. And I’ll just avoid wearing anything I care about too much.

Plus, I’ve been looking at drug combinations, and I’m seriously considering dropping acid for the first time (just under 120ug), followed by MDMA (if I can find any) after the peak, then 2c-b on the comedown. That’s if there’s enough time for all that! Is it the kind of place I could get away with lighting up a joint, too? I wouldn’t mind chilling out with a smoke at 7:00am before I have to get the train home haha

EDIT: I know this is a very broad question, but would you guys be able to give me a feel for what it might be like? It sounds like a great atmosphere, presumably (hopefully) pretty open to drug use. Do you know if it’s licensed or not?

i went to gdm with few of these here and had mdma then 2c-e and then i had no navigational skills and then realised i didnt have too much of an idea where i was actually or what my route home was. fortunately i had a friend who arrived late and wasn’t too fucked… i remember standing at a bus stop and 2 proper wrecked guys came running up. one looked like he was trying to read the time table, then just rested his head against the time table giggling and then just sat under the time table looking confused… where have u got to get to, york? lol. bring clothes that u dont mind getting dirty

edit: just read your last bit. its a warehouse that may or may not be with some psy decor, maybe just bare concrete or something. people are generally really friendly, often messy. nights can go on into the afternoon. people smoke inside, bouncers do not seem interested once you’re inside. journey to venue may be windy. nitrous balloons may be sold and (im in the minority), they are a waste of £… its a trick lol. the gdm i went to had some of the best psytrance i’ve heard out ever.

Even a licensed event only needs to clamp down on drug use (including alcohol) when such drug use is creating a obvious security/safety problem. if folk behave well at their social event, they aren’t usually monitored too closely for what substances they have chosen to take 😉

I just read this and it put a massive smile on my face. This sounds like everything I hoped it would be! Haha, yeah, York… I’m not looking forward to the trip back, but I’m sure it will be worth it.

Thanks a lot for all the information guys; I wasn’t at all sure about going before, but I’m certain I want to go now. One final question, if you don’t mind, though! I’ll be in the city centre during the day (seeing Amon Tobin the night before and going to see a musical with my family on the day!), how far out is the location likely to be? Am I likely to be able to get a taxi/tube there, or does it require some other mode of transport? I won’t have access to a car 🙁

EDIT: it’s probably easier to just explain the situation. Basically, I’ve persuaded my mum to let okay, as long as it’s not too far outside the city, so I’m not getting a very expensive taxi there and back. So if it’s likely to be close, I’ll book a ticket ASAP, otherwise it might be better to get a ticket on the door (assuming it won’t sell out), since I may not be able to get there anyway.

tickets are only on the door. i don’t think they do ‘sold out.’ car + drugs = trouble. they only give out the number on the night. often it is quite a distance from central, sometimes late enough that you miss the last tube and have to take a bus for maybe an hour or so, but its all part of the experience. get some beers for the bus ^^

i have a feeling ‘mum’s not going to be too impressed with your planned venture, lol

This particular event has tickets for sale online and they’ve already given out the infolines! :/ Hahaha, I’ll certainly have to do my best to persuade her it’ll be fine, I’ll have already stocked up on acid by then! 😐
