I’ve never eaten Veal does this make me less of a bad person?
Anyone had it before?
veal is PUKKA!!
had it in paris before
pukka – tasty, delicious, lovely, mmmm pukka
Yep, it’s tasty stuff.
It gets a lot of bad press; I think when you mention veal to most people, they imagine a cow in a box that’s been starved of daylight and pumped full of drugs. The truth is that ‘veal’ is to ‘beef’ what ‘lamb’ is to ‘mutton’, i.e. the meat of a young cow. It’s a misconception that all veal is raised in inhumane conditions – whilst they may have been more commonplace a couple of decades ago, veal crates have been banned in the EU for a few years now (and rightly so IMO) – but there is so little demand for the meat in the UK that most male calves are just destroyed and thrown away soon after birth as it makes no economic sense to keep them alive.

Never tried it, but I got the impression it’s very fatty, animals that spend their lives in boxes dont build any muscle
People say it’s cruel, well maybe it is, but no more so than battery chickens and that dont stop me eating Miss Millies, KFC or having eggs with my cooked breaky
