the drivers are forever de-roofing buses at Manningtree (a small village on the border of Suffolk and Essex) in spite of numerous warnings in both Imperial and Metric measurements that there is a low bridge just outside the station and that attempting to drive a double decker under it will de-roof it and shower the passengers with glass and metal, which really is not conducive to a pleasant bus journey.
