Eric Bolling: Schools ‘pushing the liberal agenda’ by teaching algebra | The Raw Story
“But even worse is the way some textbooks are pushing the liberal agenda,” the Fox News host explained, pointing to an algebra worksheet that Scholastic says gives students “nsight into the distributive property as it applies to multiplication.”
“Distribute the wealth!” Bolling exclaimed, reading the worksheet. “Distribute the wealth with the lovely rich girl with a big ole bag of money, handing some money out.”
Co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle explained that the algebra worksheet had put her on “high alert” for the liberal agenda in her 6-year-old son’s curriculum.
The distributive property is OBVIOUSLY part of the nefarious socialist agenda!
Well, algebra being Arabic in origin, it’s clearly seen as evil by a certain kind of nutter.
I could have written “right wing evangelical Christian gobshites” but “nutter” is shorter.

So I suppose that by teaching Algebra to american children, the terrorists have won?
and the “Red Chinese” too, as “Asians are always good at math” 😉
I think the rednecks are also annoyed that their own kids might grow up to be better at maths than them too and thus remove another way they have of controlling their families…..
Well, obviously if they’re learning about algebra they’re not learning important stuff vital to being American, like hunting, fighting, drinking and telling huge lies.
‘Distributive property’
I would assume that to mean property exactly what it says, property to be distributed, like inheritance split between beneficiaries, or seized assets to be sold and distributed between debtors
How exactly did this guy read it as ‘redistribution of wealth’ ? Colour me confused

No no. The distributive property is the one that states that a * (b+c) = (a*b) + (a*c). It has nothing to do with actual property. It’s just a “property” in algebra, like the commutative property or the identity property etc.

Thats just math, I work in finance and do math all day but have long forgotten the names for things as the names are completely unnecessary in practical application.
Now Im even more confused, what does math have to do with politics, math is pure, politics is dirty, these subjects have no common ground
What are you getting at here… if it’s a hidden message that you hate America, I already know
Its just certain silly people. There are of course good folk in America, I noticed that Shoestring managed to get a house and some medical treatement for a life threatening condition in spite of only being in work sporadically (although he is a hobo I got the impression that he sometimes helped the folk on the railway do work and got paid) so there must be some welfare benefits, but these idiots claiming their child’s math homework is socialist (when in reality mathematics are the same the world over) are just that – idiots and would be called that no matter where in the world they came from.

But if we bomb all the pinko commie liberal dickeating munchkins like yourself, that would also solve the problem?
(Don’t worry, I personally don’t have any bombs).
Primary school maths would have been so much simpler if in every question the child didnt share her apples/coins with her friends.
