… quote words from the Koran that are forbidden to Muslims?
Woolwich attack: terrorist proclaimed ‘an eye for an eye’ after attack – Telegraph
Surah 5:44-45
Because hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance are two things that are neither new to the human race, nor on their way out, unfortunately.
I lean more to the explanation that he wasn’t really a Muslim activist. He was a nutter.
Or perhaps that’s what you said anyway.

I’m originally from that area of London and folk will find any excuse they want to start fights/violence, and stuff like race and religion are often secondary. this sort of shit happened even when I was a little boy, it was why my parents were scared to even let me go to a local park, it may have seemed para but in hindsight 70s era nonces who were white and middle class and often had positions in the community would have seen a ethnic kid as easy meat as metpol wouldn’t put as much effort into the investigation…
some chap interviiwed by BBC pointed out that folk get stabbed and shot in Woolwich all the time, also that soldiers get killed in Afghanistan and no one really bats an eyelid or even questions why they are there, its only the change of location that has shook everyone up.
to be fair its a credit to those living in the area, and even the metpol and soldiers that there has not been an actual race war on the streets as angry folk have been trying to start one since before I was born (my parents moved away in the 1970s because it was becoming unsafe).
in the 90s this right on hippy punk feminist woman who was once part of animal rights said that she quit the activism not because of actual fed infiltrating but just random angry young men (who had no connection to any govt organisations) what wanted to make bombs and hurt people and damage stuff.
yeh, its difficult with little knowledge to know what is the driving force in these things. is it the thing acting on the person, or is it a generally twisted person riding on the back of something he/she actually doesn’t have too much interest in…?
