using the common term “squid worm” for this species (they probably haven’t agreed on its Latin name yet) makes sense in the region as you already have the Javanese ferret-badger, which does indeed look like a cross between both these species. (the ferret badger is viewed as a friendly and pleasant creature and widely encouraged into homes and mosques as it keeps at bay worse things such as poisonous snakes).
