At least nearly everyone will understand this one 😉
I had to rebuild the whole CCU (main computer server) for a VOIP telephone-system at work as the old one had blown up the motherboard (elcos all bulged, completely kaput)
Of course a VOIP telephone system is no good if it cannot resolve DNS queries, and connect to the Internet outside (as that is how the office telephone calls are linked, and also some others for extra “phone lines” that can go direct to extensions). So I must find a server in a different country, that is good and reliable and returns PING requests correctly..
PS: anyone know which file in /etc/init.d(???) I should change to make that chmod command work automatically? the distro is CENTOS 6.4 (similar to Red Hat), which is not the one I use by choice as I find it more complex than Debian or Ubuntu, but it is more reliable for the telephone system (which must work 24/7).
