  • Been busy for 7 months dicking around with a Reprap 3D printer.

Bizarre things, you spend lots of time on them, then get bored when you set them up to actually print anything…

… if you haven’t been infected by this mania, then for goodness sake, DON’T START. I though I could handle it…

… now I roam the streets looking for odd resistors, nuts n bolts etc to keep the chuffing thing going…

… it’s no life, which is pretty much what I had before, mind you.

    ok…lol

I had been looking at one of them myself (to build stuff like LED holders to fix to my e-bike) but hardly understand how it works and got the impression the size of what it can make is fairly limited. At least Pat lives in the bit of England where they still make stuff and so probably will encounter people with hoards of all sorts of resistors and even the old size nuts and bolts (I thought the kit was all metric and would use E series preferred resistors (but then again the Americans may have had some input into the design)

True, it takes hours to squeeze plastic through a .3mm hole. As for that bit of England where they still make stuff, I understand it’s called “Wales”. Bunch of illuminati twats where there last week to check over their killing machine production… They called it an “anti-terrorist NATO summit” but they’re not really fooling anybody but the electorate.

…anyway, back at Reprap, the volume of printed parts is limited by print speed, although there’s a smart bugger in Northampton making these… pretty much standard across Repraps, about 5X speed improvement…
