  • This has always intrigued me; as folk in DK seems to be very brainy with electronic stuff so there must be many hobbyists. In UK we have Radiospares (RS)/ CPC/Farnell, Maplin etc; the Germans have Conrad but I’ve never seen a smaller scale Danish components supplier (unless they are a small company making some obscure but important item like audio trafos). Digikey, mouser etc claim to have offices there (which are in fact just the Netherlands branches taking the orders) and those companies tend to only want the bulk industrial orders.

    Do folk just get their stuff from Conrad in DE sent over the border, or even RS in Britain (I’ve just found the website for RS in Denmark)? I remember someone in Malaysia telling me that they ordered the components from Farnell in Leeds (presumably they got shipped from more local warehouses…)

    I do not know…but I think Hong Kong is hot….The DIYs I know get their tings from every where but some of those HK companies are very cheap and often have their own depot inside EU so all taxes are paid….

    There must be some small local companies which work closely with the Chinese (similar to proto plc in Scotland) but it does seem that Farnell and Radiospares in Blighty or Conrad NL supply a lot of DK engineers as well. To be fair RS has finally moved into the 21st century :laugh_at: – there’s a lot of good kit and info on there (although they are often way more expensive than CPC/Farnell). I guess now we are all in EU the borders do not matter so much…

    Køb Lydgivere – sirener Klaxon Sirene, 103dB ved 1 m, 24 V dc, husets farve: Grå Klaxon SLE-0002 online fra RS.

    (this is cheaper than they sell it in the UK;

    I asked a friend and he said this place is a must. People still user their old name Brinck Elektronik, it used to be a place where U could get almost everything or if they didnt have it they would get it for you….they still have a shop in center of copenhagen. They are quite cheap, I once bought an antenna cable from them, it was at the same price that you would get from other shops with the big difference, much better isolated and much better Quality all over…

    seems like a much better version of Maplin (we still have them in the UK but they are only good for special offers and Kemo lucky bags. Maplin do seem to have improved their staff and employ young folk who actually know somethign about electronics (one of them was even curious about what I was building; and when giving advice to a lad and his mum about a school project suggested he started with the Arduino rather than the Raspberry PI (which I agree with as its much easier to do proper interfacing and far harder to knacker an Arduino than an RPI)
