I think the security has caught many of them (due to the use of disposable addresses) but there have been numerous attempts to register by these viral marketing types today. They are now picking an older “European” profile with hobbies correct for the age group, although they don’t always get the gender correct (or assume it does not matter as Europeans are viewed as “challenging gender stereotypes”.
The real ID’s appear to be stolen from genuine people. What is more worrying is that when I’ve searched for more info it does appear that whoever doing has more advanced English skills, and is tailoring the profiles to these forums and has been monitoring here for some time, to the point they are fully aware of the 3 site split and the different demographics each appeals to.
