obviously a miscarriage of justice, reminds me of a judge here in the USA who just got in trouble for jailing poor people for being unable to pay their fines when it has to be shown by the court that it is willful lack of payment.

run into a lot of idiots in law enforcement and the courts

Truly disgusting DB. How those police and prosecutors can say they are saving those teens from themselves by announcing the fact to the world and still be able to look at themselves in a mirror baffles me.

the town where the incident occurred is a peculiar shithole, without a bunch of military bases it wouldn’t be anything… Bible Belt, you can do this kind of shit as law enforcement and the locals are ok

When the police have very few adults to arrest, they make up for their ‘lost profit’ by arresting teens. So much for ‘justice.’
