This is a big shout to those that know why they drop out. I am an author based in the UK.
I have written a book City of a Million Dots and I am looking for the right audience. The book works on many levels – from stoned teenage uber-wild gang, The Kage Kids; kick ass hard man, Victor Scram; beautiful bad girl, Liv; ultra feminist accomplished genius women, Linda Kalom and Spodge; manic artist, Dr Neon; architecture that seeks to control, the ctiy (based on the crumbling beauty of Detroit) train lines soaked in blood, expectation, genetic manipulation, the death of god, the birth of choice, love, creation… lurking underneath are postmodernism, philosophy, psychoanalysis and poetry. The list goes on and on. It’s had good reviews (check amazon link below). But I just feel it needs to find the right audience.
My ideal audience is the intelligent, drop out stoner, psychedelic misfit that thinks in the new way, a secular mystic who knows that the classical models of science, religion and society are already dead. In other words, they who are in the wasteland, but are not afraid. To this end, I am happy to send free books to people who can demonstrate why they fit this model. We’re talking real books here, no e books.
