This is actually quite decent to be fair!
They have managed to combine modern “Japanese” style animation and CGI and developments in tech with the humour of the old series; although for some reason all the original characters appear to be a few years younger [DM and Penfold appear to now be in their 20s rather than 30s – Colonel K who is now in early rather than late middle age; Baron Silas (von) Greenback has quit smoking cheap gaspers and now has a German/American accent.
Stilleto now speaks like someone from IT/RO but living in London would :laugh_at:
In one episode Greenback sets up a startup company to replace DM with robots; and in another is responsible for s DDOS attack – although Colonel K finally been convinced to use new communications equipment; as well as a hologram for communications he uses a Motorola 3200 GSM :laugh_at:

The new Professor Squarkencluck (the old guys niece) is from Northern Britain (I had expected her to be cast as a posh English girl from SE England) Although voiced by a Scottish/Malaysian actress she does not have a particularly broad Scots accent and could equally be from Northumbria/Durham/Carlisle or similar places (where you would be likely find a smart and very assertive lass).
I did however have to use methods similar to Baron Greenback to download the MP4s of the previous shows [simply so I could watch them on more than one device without them expiring] as it is insanely difficult now to record a TV show in reasonably high quality (compared to 20 years ago when you just used a S-VHS video recorder)
Also found this amusing – Auntie had to use taxpayers money from IE (the bit of Ireland which is not part of the UK and once was at war with us) to fund the cartoon :laugh_at:

I am not sure which other countries DM would be shown in as the BBC 1 feed does not have kids programmes on it any more; it is most likely to turn up on the dedicated channel for kids on your public service broadcaster i.e KIKA [DE] / TV-Børn [DK] / NPO Zapp [NL]
