  • Pulled this from the article:

    Risks associated with cannabis
It affects the ability to drive – a French study found that drivers who had been using cannabis were more than twice as likely to cause a fatal car crash
If smoked, cannabis can be harmful to the lungs; like tobacco, it contains cancer-causing chemicals (carcinogens) that increase the risk of lung cancer, and it can also make asthma worse
Cannabis can harm mental health – regular use is associated with an increased risk of developing a psychotic illness, such as schizophrenia, and the risk is higher if you start using cannabis in your teens and if you have a family history of mental illness
Cannabis may affect fertility, and if you’re pregnant, cannabis may harm your unborn baby
    Source: NHS Choices

Still generally better for you than alcohol, caffeine and tobacco IMO; if you can’t kill yourself with it acutely its not a drug.

I had a WTF moment when I read that as well. Why the fuck are they doing their best to insesrt any damaging information they can (fucking discredited information as well) into an article that is showing cannabis to be a far better alternative to alcohol, recreationally, not to mention the medical benefits it brings. Sickening.

No doubt, the french study… people do this thing called poly drug abuse, so they weren’t just ‘high’
Cannabis is a wash as far as lung damage, combustion of essentially anything is carcinogenic but marijuana has plenty of compounds that fight cancer
As far as cannabis and mental illness, this is the best point they’ve got, but essentially it boils down to self medication on the afflicted’s part, nothing more nothing less.
I’m not super well informed on fertility and cannabis cause I’m not looking to knock a lass up and have a kid crawling/walking/running around but I’m doubtful that is the thing that is holding a couple back from having a kid. Cannabis as a tea is great for some of the side effects of being a pregnant women, smoking a bunch of anything while you know you’re pregnant is MOOTH (Morbid Obesity of the Head).

Not gonna say that cannabis is totally benign but they overstating it and cherry picking the points or those are the last arguments that have half a leg to stand on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6QkVTx2d88

The mental illness shit was shot down. My god, it’s a medication, a stress reliever, it’s so many things it’s unreal. Everything has soe carcinogenic effect ffs. Water will kill you. Wtf is the problem here?. We can smoke tobacco and get cancer and no high at all and that cool but we can smoke weed to get better and relieve pain and have a nice time, but you’ll get sent to prison.

Prohibitionists are gonna fight to the death (theirs of old age).
