last one I am aware of doing this actually got struck off – he started off with inventing fake dogs he claimed to be treating; the govt (MHRA or whatever they are called now) started getting suspicious and he was getting further addicted (and it was also affecting his professional skills and behaviour adversely).
He even ended up using his own given name on one prescription form but filling the details in as “Staffordshire Bull Terrier” – that was one step too far.
