Who actually likes going to work everyday?
not sure if anyone does (although at least I do not always have to “go” to work every day if it involves computers and other equipment that can be remote accessed)
Coincidentally just heard this on the Groningen pirate radio (border with NL/DE); it is from 1982 – the lyrics (written by punk/anarchist types) translate roughly as “now we go and spit into our hands (and work hard) to increase the Gross national product”
The song was written to take the piss out of the German / Saxon Protestant work ethic (to some extent duplicated in NL, here in UK and to an even worse extent in the USA) although the German conservatives (CDU; Angela Merkel’s party) thought it was in praise of (which is how they got the record deal from a label that usually released blander Schlager and Europop) :laugh_at:
Not entirely sure how those videos provoke conversation, but man work is a drain. Although I have a fairly well paid job the boredom and demoralisation that comes with it. You do ask yourself is it really worth it?
also i dont read or speak German

the ska tune is in German but the other rap tune is in English – American accents in some regions do sound German (due to centuries old historical and cultural influences; many US communities were formed from German speaking migrants). Even more so when the folk speaking them are stoned :laugh_at:
Coincidentally the metaphor about spitting into your hands before commencing hard work is found in German, Dutch, French and American English – apparently it was something people actually did before hauling ropes or heavy stuff centuries ago though not compliant with todays health and safety rules 😉
