although us Europeans like stims just as much as in the USA; its way harder for young adults to acquire pharm grade stims – you only get this feeling here with good quality cocaine.

on the rare occasions we did see dexys or ritalin if they weren’t slow release tablets (only appeared in UK around mid 2000s for teenage ADHD treatment) they were just taken orally as in comparison to street amfetamine of that era were so much purer and cleaner.

Street amfetamine and even some of the purer but now controlled NPS stims were always harsh to snort although if good quality may have been worth the pain (at least until the comedown).

I agree General I had only experienced speed in Australia but while in the U.K. 2005-2007 I was fortunate to have access to high quality coke (everyone else who I came across with different sources had a numbness from tongue to ful mouth and lips mine would make your whole head numb ) and I found coke a lot more pleasurable than speed which often put you over an edge not on it.

Again I have to agree, the purest amphetamine I got was always a paste and snorting just wasn’t a option, it would need to be cu (responsible people who aren’t arseholes would use glucose).

ADHD meds here ared almost always pellets so full of inactive fillers and assorted crap so pure still wouldn’t be an option.

Very high purity flourinated amphetamines don’t seem to have the kick of even the base amphetamine I used to getbut as GL said that effect can be got from high purity NPS, just not the total effect of high grade speed.

Yeah. That sucks. They will prescribe the strongest stuff to anyone here of any age and as long as you’re 18, you can pick it up from the pharmacy. Which means if little Timmy has ADHD, mommy has to go buy it but whatever. He gets what he wants.

Europe used to be like (some states?) of the USA for “loose prescription of all sorts of pharms” but small countries with nationalised health authorities soon picked up on any issues caused by diversion/overuse (and notified the next door countries just like with any other health risks).

Also as key industries got privatised there was increasing Angst over whether the healthcare industry was ultimately subsidising/enabling corporates to encourage unhealthy and unrealistic working hours as well as lifestyles.

At the same time recreational drug use amongst young people is not judged particularly harshly – as it tends to be confined to certain age and social groups and thus tapers off after age 30-40 as people become parents and/or get more demanding careers.
