Do they still have brass band performances round your way? There are loads in NE England where tryptameanie lives (not surprisingly they are common to any area of Northern Europe where they still do precision metalwork)
Ah, yes. The had I eloped to Netherlands episode, lol. That still makes me chuckle thinking back to it.
I wouldn’t say brass bands are thriving in my area. But whenever you have a fete of any description or any kind of community based social event, there will almost certainly be a brass band making an appearance at some point.
