really appreciate any help on this matter..
so the truth is i have always enjoyed a good drink ever since i was a young n ( i even remember me old man giving me sips of his pint of guiness when i was as young as 6 :crazy: .. pretty sure me mum would have been on the piss alot when i was in the womb too .. )
though i am not trying to pass the blame, this could be one of the underlying reasons i have such a taste for the old juice.
basically i am unsure as to whether i have an actual drink prob or not. recently i have been drinking more than usual, and my thirst for the booze, has risen considerably!..
i have been drinking every night since early december last year (not nesserely enuff to be pissed every night, but drinking none the less) and now feel strange having my first night 'sober'. i am not experiencing the 'shakes' as such but i do feel uncomfortable and very thirsty and dry mouthed, i have been drinking water by the pint load and it isnt helping this, i need something stronger..
obviously i googled the symptoms of being an alcoholic first but now i want any body with any 1st hand experience with drink problems to share some info on alcohol withdrawl if you can. cheers
oh, and no advising me to go and see the bloody doctor:laugh_at:

ID : Indonesian man’s teeth blown out by exploding cigarette
whilst cigs are bad for you, this is extreme by any nations standards!
An Indonesian man has been given compensation after a cigarette he was smoking exploded, taking out six teeth.
Andi Susanto, 31, told Indonesian media the cigarette had blown up in his mouth while he was riding a motorcycle.
He accepted a payment of 5m rupiah ($535; £335) and all his medical costs from PT Nojorono Tobacco, makers of the brand of cigarette he was smoking.
Police are investigating what caused the blast, but Mr Susanto said he would try to give up smoking now anyway.

Ok here's where I think that subject belongs - yes I am aware that alc. is a drug. I never claimed to abstain from EVERYTHING, sorry if I gave that impression. I have a beer or 2 in the evenings, once in awhile go for a frozen 'rita. I'm trying to tone it down tho - in my 20s I was a party animal. raaa:weee: I'm not gonna condemn anyone for drugs - just tryin to say 'been there done that' - fair nuff?

ey'o
ive been a member of this site for quite a while, and to be honest its 4.50am and i just need to vent, but i always have thought that writing stuff up on here has helped me process things ..
When i lived in the south i fucked up, thats all in the past, my problem is ive moved to nottingham after a string of events ive drank solidly for 2 weeks, any genius can see thats not good. im not a student who enjoys their overdraft a little too much but a person who works a 40 hour week and is struggling, its starting to infringe on my life, my work and worst of all my music .. all again. i just wanted to ask anybody on the forum if they have ever, currently are going through the same thing any advice would be well appreciated. Again, ill be honest comments 'itll be ok' will register and thanks for the support but i need something more .. sorry that sounded like im blowing my own horn there it is really not intentional :)

A fire which caused £250,000 of damage to a Lincolnshire shop was caused by a bird bringing a lit cigarette back to its nest, investigators have concluded.
On 9 March, firefighters were called to tackle a blaze in the roof of Crescent Stores in Leasingham.

Fucking Alcohol! :(
Think this is the right place for this. Had a family gathering at my house earlier. As i'm still suffering from man flu, was in my room chilling out when i heard some very heated shouting occuring. Thought it was outside so didn't concern myself with it. my brother then banged on my door and my other bros door yelling get downstairs quickly. Both of us are suffering from the Manflu as well, So get downstairs and it's kicking off between two of my family members and i mean proper kicking off, had to drag one of em outside cos they were really going for each other trying to kill each other. Both are well pissed as well which was the cause of it , one of em thought he saw something which didn't happen and went fucking berserk trying to kill the other person. The worst thing as well it happened in front of my 7 year old cousin which really fucks me off as he's such an innocent kid and it kills me he saw this. After we had one offender well away from the other i took my younger cousin upstairs and he was so fucking upset it breaks my fucking heart.
It's taken about 2 and a half hours to calm it down but i am so pissed off. It's always the same with alcohol. the night starts off good then decends into utter madness, Had to explain to my little cousin that alcohol was what caused it and that it will be ok in the morning, he says to me, so if alcohol does that why do people use it? He hit the nail on the fucking head and people wonder why so many of us do E and that! I know most people would wanna keep this sort of shit quiet but i really had to vent my frustration somewhere, I am not a happy chap atm............:annoyed:

giving blood/drugs/alcohol
aft'noon all
i'm just about to register to give blood, but i'm unsure about some things
1. how will the fact i take drugs (inc. alcohol) effect this? i don't want to endanger someones life rather than save it!
2. if i ask the people at the donation thing, i wouldn't suffer and sort of legal action by saying i take drugs would i?
