Request for Regular Cocaine Users to Participate in Online Research Study As part of my Experimental Psychology (MSc) course at the University of Sussex, I am conducting a research experiment on the influence of drug use and self-reported psychopathy on the recognition of facial expressions of emotion.
I am looking for participants who are aged 18 or over to complete an online survey that will take approximately 20 minutes.
The aim of the study is to see how self-reported psychopathy and different levels of drug use affect the ability to recognise facial expressions of emotion. Ideally, I am looking to recruit participants who regularly use cocaine, as well as those who rarely use, or never use cocaine.
All individual responses are strictly confidential and the survey can be completed anonymously, you will also have the opportunity to enter into a prize draw to win £25!!!
If you are interested in taking part in this study, the link to participate is below:

Thank you in advance, I hope you find it interesting!
Are you high right now? What did you take/snort/use? So are you guys high right now? If yes, then what drug(s) did you use to do so? (any way is not going to offend me; snort, inject, smoke, etc)
Right now my nose is vacuuming up a ton of Focalin (ADHD medication stronger than Adderall) and I am flying high. I don't get much of a body high so much as I get sort of anti social and my performance at work becomes faster and faster and people can't keep up with me. It probably has saved a few customers' lives because it makes me pleasant so I didn't feel the need to deck somebody in the throat.12…78

Seeking participants in Northern Rivers, NSW, Australia for study on drug dependence Hi there,
I'm a researcher based at Curtin University's National Drug Research Institute (NDRI) in Melbourne, Australia. I’m involved with a study that explores people’s experiences of living with an alcohol or other drug (AOD) habit, dependence or addiction, including how they make decisions about drug use, drug treatment and everyday life. We're now seeking participants in Northern Rivers, New South Wales, Australia: Byron Bay, Ballina, Lismore, Mullumbimby or Nimbin.
Participation involves a confidential audio-recorded interview of about an hour and you will receive $50 for your time. The interviews will be conducted in a location of your choice in the Byron Bay area. The focus of the interview will be on living with and managing a drug habit/dependence/addiction, experiences of drug use, treatment experiences (where relevant), everyday life and feelings about the future. We're especially keen to talk to people who identify their primary drug as any one or more of the following:
Stimulants, e.g. ice, cocaine, speed, crack cocaine
MDMA
Prescription drugs, e.g. benzos, Valium, Xanax, serepax
Alcohol
The information we gather will be used to develop an informative website for members of the public, and health professionals and policy makers. This part of the study runs from October to December 2015 or until we have reached our target of ten participants. The study has been approved by the Curtin University Human Research Ethics Committee.
Anyone who is interested in participating or would like more information can contact me directly at Kiran.pienaar@curtin.edu.au or on 03 9079 2204. Thanks very much for your interest.
Best wishes,
Kiran Pienaar

Why do students take performance enhancing drugs? Looking for participants! Students’ use of performance enhancing drugs has been written about extensively by the media and by academics - though often with very little input from students themselves! I am carrying out a research project with the hope of giving voice to student’s own experiences of using these drugs.
Why do students take performance enhancing drugs off-label (Ritalin, Adderall, Modafinil etc.)?
What does the way students use performance enhancers tell us about the nature of work at university?
To help me answer these questions, I am hoping to interview between 6 and 10 participants online via Skype. They should be over 18, and either have taken these drugs as a student or have a particular interest in/opinions about the research topic. I will be asking you questions about your experiences with these drugs (if any) and your more general experience of university as well.
Your confidentiality and anonymity are of the utmost importance to me. For this reason, if you would like to offer yourself for an interview, I will PM you the account name and password for a Skype account I have created for you, rather than take your personal Skype account details. We’ll set up Skype so I will never see you’re face at any point. I will not take down any record of your PartyVibe username either. The idea is that these interviews be COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS.
This research has been approved by the Glasgow University Ethics Committee and is being carried out as part of my undergraduate degree at the University of Glasgow.

Request for participants for interviews about recreational cocaine use Hello everyone,
I originally posted this on the cocaine forum but I didn't realise there was a forum specifically for drugs research! Apologies for posting it twice and if you've already read it, I couldn't see anything that would allow me to delete the thread.
My name is Lucy, I’m a postgraduate student at Durham University completing a Master’s degree in the School of Applied Social Sciences. I’m interested in exploring the social and cultural acceptability of cocaine use for my dissertation and it would be very much appreciated if you are interested in taking part.
If you are over 18 and have taken cocaine at least once in your lifetime, it would be great if you are happy to take part in interviews. The interviews can take place in any way you would prefer: via instant messaging for example on Skype, via email or via private messaging on this forum.
If you are interested, please send me a private message or reply to this forum message stating you have read and understood this information sheet and that you give your consent to participate. I will then arrange with you how and when the interview will take place. It shouldn’t take longer than thirty to forty minutes but you are welcome to spend as long as you like.
All participants will be completely anonymous as I will disguise the names of the forum and your usernames, any email addresses or other names e.g. Skype names with pseudonyms in the dissertation. You can withdraw from the research at any time or refuse to answer any questions without giving a reason.
Before you decide, you are welcome to contact me at any time to ask questions and discuss the project. You can contact me with your questions at any time during the research by replying to this forum message, by PM or by email at l.f.cordell@durham.ac.uk. My dissertation supervisor is Dr. Kate O’Brien who can be contacted via email at kate.o’brien@durham.ac.uk. After the research is finished, you are welcome to contact me for a copy of the research findings.
It would be useful to get an idea of people's views on this topic so I was thinking to also turn this thread into a discussion about the topic. Feel free to contribute even if you're not a cocaine user, any replies will be appreciated.
Firstly, I was wondering whether people here regard cocaine as a very harmful drug or do you think it can be taken in a sensible fashion so that any risks and harms are minimised?
I'm also interested to know people's views on the popularity of cocaine.Do you think in recent years that cocaine has grown in popularity and become more socially acceptable among young adults? Would you say the image of cocaine as a drug has changed at all?
Thank you.
