NEED HELP! Pro Drug Documentary needs your opinions I am working on a documentary for a major TV broadcaster.
The documentary premise is about drug use in the UK and what really goes on. We have seen hundreds of documentaries showing users as addicts, ill and desperate. But what about the other 99% of drug users. What happens with them?
We would love to film three main things
1. a group of friends on a night out and an after party. We would like to show you using the drugs and what happens to you once you have taken them. We are mainly focusing on legal highs, ketamine and mcat.
2. A user who has gone that next level. They are injecting legal highs, ketamine or mcat. We want to see how this person is dealing with this.
3. Chem Sex Parties - We want to meet a chem sex party. Show what happens, the opinions of the people at the parties and the outcome of them. Obviously, nothing sexual.
All filming can hide peoples faces but the more people open to showing their face the better. Please email teerexproductions@gmail.com if you can help or know someone who can.

Did anyone else get the PM about RC documentary? I just got a PM, because 'm a bit para about this. wondering if anyone else got one?
''Hi,
I'm working on a documentary investigating the changing world of drugs from the growth in legal highs through to the use of illegal drugs.
Through the personal stories of users, suppliers, doctors, drug experts and law enforcement - this documentary will hear from the advocates and the critics. We want give our viewers the information to form their own judgments on drugs and the risks. Our hope is this accessible - while editorially robust – approach will draw in a wider audience for this important subject.
If anyone is interested in sharing their experience of using research chemicals, we'd be really interested in talking to them. Please get in touch on contact@octoberfilms.co.uk
Thanks in advance,
Bal

We’re studying this through an anonymous, confidential and data protected online questionnaire.
Here's the link:

INJECTING M-CAT/NRG-1/6-MAM DOCUMENTARY FILM
For some drug users, injecting mephedrone can be part of a more complicated problem; for others it can be a recreational choice. Either way, mephedrone and other new drugs are showing up more and more in our lives, and we know very little about them.
Matt and Rhys, from the youth documentary website VICE.com, are developing a sensitive exploration of mephedrone and other new drugs as part of the drug scene in Barry.
If you’d like to share an opinion, story or access relating to injecting M-cat (or other new drugs like NRG-1 and 6-MAM), on camera, off camera, on or off the record, please get in touch at mcat@vice.com, and we can arrange a confidential chat to tell you more about the film.
NEMBUTAL DOCUMENTARY
If you or anyone you know has ever tried to obtain Nembutal, has it currently, or has used it before for recreational or other purposes, please get in touch for a confidential chat at matt.shea@vice.com
‘Legal highs’/Novel Psychoactive Substances: User Perspectives Hi all,
I’m a postgraduate student at the University of Kent, currently studying my MA. I’m currently working on putting my final research project together, it focuses on analysing policy approaches to regulating novel psychoactive substances (‘legal highs’) in the UK.
Most of the policy debates currently going on pay little consideration to users and what they have to say. I want to be able to give you a voice and I’m really interested in what you have to say. If you’re from the UK and could spare approximately 10 minutes to complete a short survey around your use and views of NPS (novel psychoactive substances), it would be extremely helpful.
I can assure anonymity to all participants and I have ensured that IP addresses will not be stored. Your data will also not be passed on to any third party and will be used solely for the purposes of this research.
This promises to be an interesting dissertation and I will return to this thread once the final project is completed with a link to the finished dissertation so you are all able to view the outcome. The project is being supervised by Dr. Kate O’Brien.
If you would like to get into contact with me about the project in any way, please do not hesitate to either e-mail me at cj209@kent.ac.uk or reply in this thread. I will be checking this thread daily if you would prefer to ask anything here.
Thank you,
Charlie Jenkins

Ecstasy Experiences & Memories research Hi All....
You are invited to participate in a study that seeks to learn more about your past clubbing and Ecstasy/MDMA experiences. This will focus on your current non drug related triggers that stimulate memories of ecstasy use. This is an interesting piece of research and I will post results when the study is complete.
I (Evelyn Hearne) am the researcher. I am an Addiction Studies Student ( in my final Year) and I am currently compiling a portfolio of Substance Use Research, in order to apply for my PhD Next year. I will be supervised by Dr Marie Claire Van Hout, (Waterford institute of technology) an addiction expert with over 13 years qualitative research and practice experience in the addictions field.
I am not collecting names or other personal identifiers – people’s identities will remain anonymous. Your participation in this study is voluntary. I will adhere to the Waterford Institute of Technology ethical guidelines for research, in terms of providing participants with information around the research aims and objectives, treating all participants with respect and inclusion and ensuring participant anonymity. Your data will not be passed on to any third party and will be used solely for the purposes of this research.
The research will collect data from today, through until 20th Oct 2013. The questionnaire will take roughly 30 minutes to fill out. I am looking for participants aged 30+.
If you would like to participate I can be reached at: evacudetox@hotmail.co.uk or alternatively through mailing system here. Also if you require any further information do not hesitate to contact me.
Many Thanks

Discussion: Novel Psychoactive Substances & Policy in the UK (Please read first post) The Project
Hi all,
I’m a postgraduate student at the University of Kent and I’m currently putting together a piece of research on the perspectives of users of novel psychoactive substances (NPS) in the UK and how these perspectives relate to policy. There appears to be much underway in terms of discussion around policy approaches to control NPS in the UK. However, there is little consideration of the perspectives of users and this project hopes to incorporate your voices into these debates.
I’m using two research methods in order to gather this data, a self-completion questionnaire survey (www.surveymonkey.com/s/NPSUK for those that haven’t completed it yet) as well as some online discussions. All information collected from both will be used purely for academic purposes and anonymity is assured to all participants. IP addresses are not stored for the survey and all forum usernames as well as forum urls will be omitted from the finished project. The project is being supervised by Dr. Kate O’Brien and if you’d like to get in contact with me about any further details of the project, please email me at cj209@kent.ac.uk.
The Discussions
I’ll introduce a theme approximately every 24 hours for discussion which will revolve around NPS and proposed policy approaches in the UK. I’m really interested in what you have to say so please feel free to be as extensive in your posts as possible. The first theme will be introduced in this thread on Monday 19th July 2013 at 3pm BST. The themes will be numbered so if respondents could include the number of the theme at the beginning of their post, it would be really helpful.
By participating in these discussions, you are giving your consent for your data to be used for academic purposes and anonymity is assured to all participants.
Thank you,
Charlie
