Stolen mountain bike My mountain bike was stolen out of my garden bout 4 weeks ago. Went to local second hand shop today n guess what i found...... my mountain bike on sale for double what i paid for it. Spoke to old bill n am now waiting to I.D. my bike. This also means second hand shop have name n address of dick who sold it to them, but they wont give it to me; lucky that i have a buddy who knows the management in there eh :-) :laugh_at:

This will automatically become UK law soon and it means that bikers will not be able to customise their bikes in anyway or use cheaper (still safe & approved) 'after market' parts making it too expensive for the average rider â None of these directions make any sense at all and will not improve safety in anyway; just line the pockets of the large foreign bike manufactures.
Bikers wil be singled out by the police and stopped and emissions checked; this is discriminatory.
They also propose to ban filtering through traffic, which would be dangerous for air-cooled machines that could blow up in traffic and is the extreme of nanny state interference.

FAO GL or other bike enthusiasts Is there a fold up bike that is also a bag (as in folds up into a bag - I'm not looking for a fold up bike and a bag they have to be attached to each other, if there is such a thing).
My friend is thinking about getting a bike but doesn't have storage space and doesn't want to walk bike's into his place incase the tyres are muddy. He thinks fold up bikes are "un-cool" but would get one if it was attached to a rucksack or something as it then has a "cool factor" in his mind. :laugh_at:

Mr Ching is easily old enough to be my Dad (and wasn't born too far away)
He started off in Shanghai, and rode to the border with Pakistan... (the ride appears to be done in 5 separate parts of about 1200-1800 km each separated by some months. This is because he has to run the bike company as well as go on his holidays...

A man who was found pleasuring himself in a muckspreader at a Redruth farm has been sent to prison.
David Roy Truscott, 40, of Pengegon Parc, Camborne, was given a 16-week prison sentence last week after pleading guilty to the harassment of Clive Roth and his family at Woodbury Farm, Tolgus Mount.
Magistrates in Truro were told that between December 23, 2005 and August 22 this year 40-year-old Truscott had masturbated in the muck spreader while he was fully aware this caused the family distress.
In a previous case in 2004 Truscott pleaded guilty to burglary and three offences of arson at the same farm, when the court was told how he liked to strip down to his waist in manure for sexual reasons.
Police caught Truscott at the farm at Tolgus Mount, near to where he used to live, wearing shiny red shorts and rubber gloves.
At the time magistrates were told that the farmer first became suspicious that something odd was going on when he found a water trough filled with manure and tissues scattered around.
He then saw the shape of what appeared to be someoneâs bottom and two hand prints where manure had been piled up. On another occasion it was obvious someone had been playing in manure and tissues and plastic gloves were found nearby.
After catching Truscott at the farm, police searched his house and found womenâs clothing, mainly underwear, with containers of liquid sludge and hard mud.
Truscott told the officers that he had 360 pairs of womenâs knickers and he liked to sleep in womenâs pyjamas. He had taken womenâs clothing with him to the farm as part of his excitement. He was also convicted starting a fire which damaged farm buildings and killed a cow.
Despite magistrates being told at the time that this was a case they would be âunlikely to come across again,â last Tuesday Truscott found himself back in court for the same behaviour.

Puppy thrown at German biker gang A German student "mooned" a group of Hell's Angels and hurled a puppy at them before escaping on a stolen bulldozer, police have said. The man drove up to a Hell's Angels clubhouse near Munich, wearing only a pair of shorts and carrying a puppy. He dropped his shorts and threw the dog, escaping on a bulldozer from a nearby building site.
He was arrested later at home by police. The 26-year-old is said to have stopped taking depression medication. After making his getaway on the bulldozer, he had driven so slowly that a 5km tailback built up behind him on the motorway. After driving about 1km, he had abandoned the bulldozer in the middle of the motorway, near Allershausen. He continued his journey by hitchhiking.
"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hell's Angels is currently unclear," a police spokesman said. The puppy is now being cared for in an animal shelter.
